    Hey, Past Nummy! I watched present Nummy draft a Faunsbane Troll again today, and he still didn't get to play it. So hang in there.

    1:19:20 lol, you were forced to copy the bounce, the copy resolve first and real one fizzles sadge. The decline means "decline to choose new targets".

    • @colinvandusen2072
      @colinvandusen2072 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, to add: the spell doesn’t say “up to one” target creature, so the copy has to have a valid target. Then, you can change the target of the copied one, but again it still needs a valid target. Since there’s nothing else to target, in this situation the copy has to resolve and bounce the creature that was targeted by the original.

    Yeah - copies of spells (usually) resolve before the copied as they are copied into the stack when the spell is cast and stacks are resolved "last in first out".. Sometimes you win - sometimes you learn - and sometimes you make mistakes and learn from them but win anyway. :D ...

      1:19:19 .. yeah and it looks like there is indeed a decline option.. I'm not sure if there should be.. The copying is not optional and there's just one valid target and it does not say "up to one target" (BTW - The cut in says that for the role target - you don't have to play the role).. Well I suppose the official ruling is that you can decline when "you can choose new targets for the copy" - but it could be that it's not and there's some bugs in the Arena...
      One thing I find annoying in the Arena UI is that you cannot read the spells in stack below the top one.. Or can you??? - I have not found a way to do that other than resolving the top one.

    I think at 1:16:10 was easy course on the wolf, they cannot profitably block and you get the scry going.
    And the copy part os not a "may", the "decline" is only if you want to change targeta. Sweet deck nonetheless!

    at 53:56 wasn't it safer to target Glutton or any other creature except for the token? If they have any istant-speed bargain spell they can sac it in response.

    1:16:34 missed 1 scry, very few reasons not to bargain Torch the Tower

    You had lethal with the young hero role on the 1/3 and the +2/+1 adventure in your last game, but it didn t matter

  • @motorologist
    @motorologist ปีที่แล้ว

    1:16:28 You should bargain since the Young Hero role doesn't do anything anymore & you get a scry.

  • @colinvandusen2072
    @colinvandusen2072 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The copied adventure spell has to have a target (it doesn’t say up to one creature, but I guess if it did, since the original had one target, it would still need a target as well) and the only valid target was the creature targeted by the original spell. So there wasn’t a way to keep the creature side since it wasn’t a “may” ability

      The jury has reviewed the evidence and has unanimously found that, unlike the Giants last game, a punt was not initiated on this play.

    17:30 "Man they should've really done that in their Main Phase!"
    Can somebody explain to me why that is? I'm kinda new and don't really know why that was a mistake. Thank you!

      Red blue has many effects to punish that type of play. There's 2 counters, and a couple of pump effects in red. If that had happened, op would be so behind it'd be practically game over.

    I notice you don’t like the Freeze in Place. But it seems great for all the decks that have a hard time dealing with big green creatures: red/blue, black/blue?

  • @supasolja95
    @supasolja95 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think your point about needing to get on the board is becoming true of all contemporary draft formats. There is always a deck that can punish you for playing do nothing cards 3 turns in a row, and that deck is often a popular one.
