Always depends on the pressing and how it has been mastered imo. Generally speaking, vinyl is able to extract a higher frequency of uncompressed audio than, for example, CD (CD has a higher dynamic range, so can be - and typically is - recorded at higher volumes). And because CDs are still compressed somewhat, to get the best listening experience from them requires really rather expensive equipment compared to what’s possible with a vinyl setup. But make no mistake: with that expensive equipment, you’ll often get a cleaner, more accurate reproduction of the recorded audio than is the case with vinyl - it’s just that the mastering is usually pretty ordinary, which is the other reason vinyl often sounds better.

Rhino 2006 and vinyl me please reissues from 2015 uses the same analog tapes, instead of digital files. Those pressings are Still expensive, but below 100$ and sounds so good as og us vinyl
I had heard that the first US pressing of this album had some volume issues on War Pigs but I can't hear them here. Did you make any corrections? Or is the issue just really small and easily missed?
I've heard that too, but I can't hear them either on this edition. No, I didn't make any corrections, but I have the 2006 edition and you can hear the volume problem on that one, it's also on my channel.

not necessarily best in terms of hi-fi but definitely smoother sounding with more texture to it compared to digital
