as a retired wildlife worker who was the local squirrel person, I have never related to anything so hard. the exhaustion is palpable. I once slept for nearly 17 hours after all my babies were successfully released

the scratches on that hands oh i know about that oh to well with my 2 girls may (found in may) and lu (short for lucky) haha. my arms and legs look like i have scabies or something! They have the same cage too, except in white! I look like ive never slept my whole life getting up so early for them everyday, especially when they were on milk still!
@themantisgarden Lady used to do that she would sleep behind my leg or by my arm till she wanted to make her own bed. I miss those days so I say enjoy it. :D
Having a bunch of outdoor squirrels, I’m so interested in your videos to see what the opposite end of the spectrum is like. (One indoor squirrel vs. many outdoor ones) ❤ I keep my house at 53 and I’ve definitely noticed they don’t like it in here if it’s too heated. 🌡️
I have to put a fan in at night to get the air moving. When it's actually cold blow freezing, it's comfortable. I just have no control over the heating at the moment. otherwise, I have it off or lower.
@@Thorton5044 it helped me to stop worrying about them in the cold when I started feeling them on very cold days. Their heat emanates out from the inside like a heater! I’d thought they were relying on their fur to stay warm, but it comes from their inside. I’ll find a couple of my videos on this and add the links.

Oh yes, I woke up ones every 2 to 3 hrs to feed Lady till she was able to eat on her own.

Ours creeps in bed with us every night lol Luckily, I'm a very light sleeper...Tiring little creatures but 100% worth it.
