Me, too! I’m Canadian with a Scottish dad, grew up watching British shows, and I understood every word BOTH of them said. I’ve had this happen when travelling in real life - does being Canadian give you some kind of built-in universal translator or something?!?

I was born and bred in Co.Longford right in the heart of Ireland so I’ve a good culchie accent and I live in England now. This is so true when I’m on the phone trying to give me address and postcode I literally have to change how speak so they will

Hahahha..XD They say 8 like that. 😂😂😂 I work as a technical support so I'm used to their accent after 4 months of speaking with them. I'm actually from Serbia so it scared me at first but now it's all fine.

That's happened to me when I was in Northern Ireland Internship. I have lived in one small city Cookstown and instead of S, women heard X , and I got wrong Adresse, It was Nightmare to told it is not X, but after one year I understood everything. My Manager in one Cookstown Company told: Andreas If you can understand us, then you know English.
I miss Northern Ireland and that accent.I Hope so I will visit one day again, it is currently hard because I need Visa to visit Northern Ireland
