I actually don't mind the clean vocals on this track, the first single they released with cleans I wasn't too crazy about. However, this one isn't too bad. The only issues I have with this track is that it's not long enough, and they play it safe not blowing up into a fast skull pounding death metal rage anywhere. It's like a tiger ready to pounce toward its prey, but it never does. They got the heavier sections with the growls yes, but it never goes beyond that point. They know how to do it but aren't here. It's actually frustrating, ngl. Interesting ideas, mediocre execution. You dont need to sacrifice the tense and firece energy of past records when incorporating clean vocals in the composition of a song in instances like this. Unless, of course, that was the goal. In that case, I say it needs more work. I know the dudes might read this. No hate, just expressing my thoughts. Coming from another musician, I can respect experimentation (when done correctly). You guys are really one of the first to emplement cleans with a sound as harsh as the HM-2 to this scale in production. It's unorthodox for many people. If you're all going into this further down the line, then speed to you. Just know many including myself will leave out of interest and differing music taste. I say that not to discourage your musical journeys. If you all feel to move on to a different subgenre or refine this style you got going on further, then go ahead if that feels like the right thing to do. You'll cultivate new fans that route. Being restricted of creativity is BS.

With the band name Carnation. its a pleasant diversion from the usual. fair of names depicting Death & Destruction , Pain & Misery . A pretty flower for pretty Metal .
