Consider though without the trade for Watson there is a very good chance that the browns would have hoisted a Lombardi by now. Add a probowl qb to last years roster. All all of those premium draft picks to last years roster. Add 2 or 3 premium free agents to the roster with watsons albatross contract not there.

I think the nfl is playing the long game but by bit making small changes to expand not just 18 games but also to add new teams. I could see the playoff bye being scrapped and 2 new divisions, and 2 new division champions. 1 each for the nfc and afc. Picture the afc international and nfc international.
The obviously are chomping at the bit to dig into the international markets. I wonder what 8 cities around the world would get a franchise?

Watson showed that 2020 form for 4 out of 5 games he started in 2023 so your guest hasn't taken that into account with his assessment of Watson.

Simply not true. The browns win in spite of the qb all year long including the Watson games. They won the Watson games with defense as the offense spot and sputtered and stalled routinely with Watson.
