Nice to have back posting videos once again, Acacia, and to see you having an adventure with your camera in the woods. You managed to create some gorgeous images.
Thank you! It feels amazing to get back outside. Life got pretty hectic last year, especially with my golf photography side of my business, so I didn't get outside nearly as often! I am hopeful that I can more consistent this year! 😉 📸🥾
You made the best of what you had to work with!!! I don't get much fog in my area. When it is foggy it does not last that long!!! I love the wounderful photos you were able to get!!! Great job!!!!
Thank you! Every once and awhile we will have epic foggy days that last for hours! Those are the best! With the temperature swings of spring, I am hopeful we will have some of those coming up! 😀📸
Your gymnastics abilities come through once again!! Great day Acacia, LOVE the dark & moody shots👏🏻👍🏻😀. I was in Waynesville, NC last week, unfortunately for a death in the family, but managed to get out early in the morning for some Smokey mountain shots. Trying to make the best out of a sad situation. Have a wonderful week!!!
Sorry to hear about the loss in your family, but glad you were at least able to take advantage of the area while you were there. I loved editing the dark and moody photos! 😀 Have a fantastic week!
I have good hiking boots that were sadly left at home because I was in such a rush. But I just started this master naturalist program and need to get waterproof boots to hike around in wetland areas and I am looking at muck boots. Which would also be great to use for photography adventures! 😀📸
@@AcaciaFikeNelson Many photographers probably have muck boots in their vehicle and wear them when needed. I’m not one of them and I’ve probably jinxed myself! 😂😂
Great video Acacia...I'm curious to know if you are still doing the conservation stuff with the trees still. If so, I would like some information on how to get involved in that here in Kentucky - thanks.
Thank you! Yes, I am still doing conservation work with trees. The organization is called Adventure Scientists and each year they choose a new target tree that they collect samples for as part of the Timber Tracking project. The collection season is usually May through December. I am guessing it will be around April when they announce this year's Timber Tracking project's target tree. Fingers crossed it will be another tree in our region.🤞🏼 I also just started a NW Piedmont Master Naturalist program in my area that I am really excited about. Had our first field course yesterday and it was a blast! So, I am excited to see what other opportunities for conservation work come out of that. www.adventurescientists.org/
Nice to see you out and about. Keep up with the good work. I’ve been following you for sometime and it seems like the only thing you need to improve upon is your choice of footwear. Ha! Ha!
😂 I think I have to agree with you on this one! I just started a Master Naturalist program and good waterproof boots are on my short list of needed supplies! I could also retrain myself to default to my hiking boots and not my trail running shoes. 😂📸
@@mikebartow9415 Typically, I bring either a pair of flip flops or tennis shoes to change into after my hikes. Even have a boot tray in the trunk to keep the dirt contained. I always have a red hand towel in the trunk as well. 😀
@@mikebartow9415 Unless I am wearing sandals/flip flops. 😉 Then yes, extra socks typically make the trip with me. On long hikes or hikes when it's really hot and humid, then I typically also have a change of clothes I leave in the car. Nothing is worse than a long drive in sweaty clothes! 🥵
Great job making the ordinary look extraordinary! Great video!

I loved this video! You are super! Suas fotos são maravilhosas! Brasil here! Thanks!
Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed the video! Have a fantastic day! 😀📸
I’d suggest a pair of muck boots, or a pair of good hiking boots for such muddy trails. 👍🏻👍🏻

@@AcaciaFikeNelson put an alternative pair in the trunk. At least if they get wet and or muddy you have a backup plan.
