You definitely have that imposter syndrome :( I can totally relate to that feeling and also just feeling out of place in male-dominant spaces. I'm so sorry you deal with that :( But I also feel the exact same way about people touching my stuff when it comes to board games hahaha. You make Pokemon cards sound soooo fun! It's not something I've ever gotten into it but I absolutely love like creature collection games. Filling up a binder sounds soooo fun and satisfying!
Agh I know it's so hard to get out of that mindset! Literally my favourite part of collecting is arranging it all in the binders, it's just such a relaxing thing activity. Similar but different, I've always loved the sims collections like the fish and the plants and crystals and whatnot, I want to do a whole game just dedicated to completing all the collections!

I suggest just watching some videos for beginners and learning the game and maybe even going to the card shop and just watching a few matches lol get a feel for the environment maybe get a few packs! Also if you have someone you can go with it would make it that much better!
