It is actually possible to get in the maze. I don’t know how, but the NPC partner got stuck inside at normal size and I shrunk him down, but space was very limited.
It seems the partner, when an NPC, can teleport near you, making it possible for them to go into places the game didn’t intend for them to go. The first time I did this, it was on the heist mission atop Wayne Tower. I accidentally got my partner inside, turned into Joker and explosion-sprayed the wall.

I thought my game glitched, so I restarted completely, now turns out I wasn't supposed to shrink down?! The game was also new at the time, so there weren't any videos like this yet. Anyways, I'm glad I know now, thank you soooo much!
