I have to witness you 3 musicians are in the finest level in force on this entire planet you 3 are the best 👌 👍 for years to come thanks 😊 good quality craft you are gifted with and share with this world 🌎 today 😀 ❤️
I know that it’s easy to be dazzled by his blinding speed, but what impresses me more is his sense of melodic playing when he slows down. He has a feel and tastiness to every note he plays. When he covers Larry Carlton stuff, or Brent Mason, or Pat Metheny, he just “gets it”. Amazing. Just the simple note bends, or perfect slides into another note, or whatever.
Thanks for posting this. As several others have pointed out, the performance deserved better recording quality, but what we have is still quite good. Here's hoping these three play together for a long, long time.
The band are cooking and the drummer really put a nice twist on Fred with his more uptempo approach. I saw on another thread some fool said the band was not good enough for Matteo, but I totally disagree. Also Fred highlighted what a unique and uncopyable genius Allan Holdsworth was, RIP Maestro.
A superior mind. Everything starts from the brain. Technique, musical creative ideas, phrasing, musicality and more are direct consequences. First of all, he has an incredible head, that's what I think.
@Zak McKracken È na'mente superiore. Tutto sta a'partì dar cervello. A' teccnica, a'creatività der musicista, er fraseggio.. so'conseguenze dirette der cervello! Sei soddisfatto? Parlo come magno!
Matteo has hit the pinnacle of epic-ness. He's just having fun now. LOL What I'd like to know is; what is that white bar joining both pick ups on his Yamaha guitar? Is that like a thumb rest for his speedy solos?
Agreed. The overall sound is disappointingly muddy, I believe. Still, the band's chops and cohesiveness really shine through. Just love what Matteo is doing, right now!🤩
What the hell I was in Catanzaro that day and did know anything about this concert! Cortale guys You must improve your marketing skills for next years!!!!
cool down dude... the Cortale jazz fest has been going on for eighteen years now, did you ever mind to check it out? or maybe you were at the Stanley Jordan (struggling to imitate Jimi Hendrix) gig in Catanzaro that same evening? just asking...
@@jerryxever Sorry man I didn’t mean to be rude.. I warmly support local efforts to keep live music alive! I’ve been to jazzevento several times. Great gigs, wonderful location… but this time really it passed unnoticed..
He's technically incredible. I was knocked out when first discovering him about a year ago. Now, the flood of notes is kind of tiring - very few dynamics, always on the beat which are things fast players have to contend with. His own song at about 12:00 is much more interesting. Doesn't mean he's not fantastic. A little of Bill Frisell's approach would do him wonders, but that comes with time.
Pat Metheny mentioned a lot of the younger players play too many notes and not enough FEEL. They need to learn to use the space between the notes... The Rick Beato interview with Pat is gold.

Matteo has earned his place as one of the greatest guitarists ever.
Who sounds just like all the other players that sound like him. Nothing original, albeit he’s good.

Matteo is a genius,(hopefully not flawed) I hope he keeps it together mentally as he gets older! 🙏
OMG you are amazing Matteo! Amazing work Stefano (bass) and Giuseppe (drums)! You guys rock!!!
Really you 3 are mind blowing 🤯

Wooww!! Dropped D really blew my mind!
Ok so Matteo is off the scale, but the other guys are brilliant too.
A superior mind. Everything starts from the brain. Technique, musical creative ideas, phrasing, musicality and more are direct consequences. First of all, he has an incredible head, that's what I think.
He is a serious boy

Serious brain power
My goodness, what is this Drop D geniality??? We need an studio version of this
Que gran guitarrista es Mancuso 👏👏👏
that Drop D piece is insane!!
My dad just showed me this
So gnarly
Dropped D tune was really good
It's like a Guthrie Govan piece but with Matteo's own flair, exciting stuff
19:45 Super Mario underground theme!
29:22 Am I the only one who noticed the Breaking Bad reference? That was a great move :D
"Time to leave" sounds freaking awesome
Great show!
Update songlist:
1:00:12 Scott Henderson - Hole Diggin'
Setlist aggiornata. Grazie mille!
There is so much talent on this stage.
This band deserve better sound than this video provides: they are brilliant! Opening with a classic Jeff BEck track too!
i saw the track title and was excited. then i heard the sound :(
Yep way too bass heavy .. jeryxever should run the audio through an eq, add some mids and lessen the bass a bit !
Eric Johnson too
WONDER! WONDERFUL! SO AMAZING! UNBELIEVABLE!👏
A new legend here !
Amazing
There is not one band in this world that this man could not do the job as the lead guitar player.
You Are amazing and world’s best guitar player ❤️🎸😊
I'm sure that Beck smiles ... Awesome musicians!
Nice "tip of the hat" to EVH while erupting at the close of set! Classy dude!
You Are Greate Mancuso........CONGRATULATIONS...........
Matteo has hit the pinnacle of epic-ness. He's just having fun now. LOL What I'd like to know is; what is that white bar joining both pick ups on his Yamaha guitar? Is that like a thumb rest for his speedy solos?
48:55, does anyone know the song title?
Blues for John
Bravissimi complimenti!
Thanks
There has GOT to be a better recording somewhere?? Fantastic playing...
whoms;so great guys!!!!Repect!
This dude is absolutely insane.
good bass player

Sono d'accordo anch'io!!
This performance deserved a proper recording!...
At least it was recorded - by a mike in the front row.
Ottimo pezzo , peccato x l'audio !! Bravissimi , Matteo orgoglio Italiano !!!
Immenso Matteo.
Great post
18:40 what the actual fuck!!!!!!! galaxy lick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BRAVO! BRAVÍSSIMO!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I know Matteo is running his Helix into the PA, wish the guitar was a little bit louder in the mix.
Agreed.
The overall sound is disappointingly muddy, I believe.
Still, the band's chops and cohesiveness really shine through.
Just love what Matteo is doing, right now!🤩
It is being recorded through a tiny mic on a phone
@@bubblevest1544 That explains it then.👍
Do you know if there is a better quality audio available anywhere?
@@gedofgont1006 I wish I did. Sorry. The soundboard would be phenomenal.
Blue Heaven ❤️
Bravi ragazzi, avanti così.
Rock on, good for ya, listening to Matteo and his dudes live!
bravi tutti
Bravissimi👍
Thanks for sharing, great gig
Mostruoso
What is hanging at his right elbow? 😅

Tecnica e tocco pauraaa
Matteo X Seth Rogen FTW!
Matteo: I don't need no steenkin' pick. LOL
Yamaha really getting their moneys worth with these guys. Wonder if Stefano and Giuseppe were using Yamaha gear before working with Matteo?
Gibson SG
Stefano used a Fender Jazz til recently
so this is what Seth Rogan does in his spare time ;-)
Seth is a dope smoking addict
The Guitarist : Ohhhhhhh WoooW
I hope Jeff Beck sees this
Ma quanto sono bravi???
Foda pra caralho! Vai se foder...🧙🏼♂️🐍
Sorry but Snips was more lively and colorful. It only engages me, a simple guitarist. And max 1 min on 1hour concert we can see the drummer......
Yeah, I don’t know why Matteo left Snips. They were excellent.
mad lads
Beware of guitarists with spider fingers…
well am sorry really, not trying to be a hater, all the cuddo to them, but if your talking geniuses ,you have to hear robben ford, just sayin
que penA DE SONIDO POR QUE MOLA
good copy but not at the level of Jef Beck . Juste good job but not the emotion ! too much technic !
why is seth rogan on bass
It ISN'T Seth Rogan!
