Careful with the pulse MIG welding, it ends up creating a cold weld with many stress risers. Always best to run a continuous bead after tacking. Stoked to see you on TH-cam and building cool stuff nonetheless!! Excited to see where this ends up 👍

That's a great point to make Chase! I think with the metal being so thin and me pulsing it while the previous puddle is still hot, I can get away with it. :Knock on wood: I know I'm getting full penetration but that doesn't mean stress cracks can't or haven't formed. Time will tell.

thats not Pulse MIG which is a specific thing, it's more like continuous tacking. but you are right about it being a cold method that will have stress risers

Can't say this not often enough. Wear safety goggles! (my father lost sight of 1 eye long ago, due to a flying metal particle of < 1 mm..)
