@@monke6774 That is Ai Vist Lo Lop. I don't know the artist though, a lot of people have done renditions of that song. *edit I guess it is Stary Olsa who did all the songs in this video.
I’m only at the 4:16 mark of the video, and while it’s an awesome video so far, great fighting for the most part so far and awesome choice of music so far, I have to comment on one aspect of ACS/Bohurt/HMB style combat that really bugs me and point out a solution that could significantly improve a fighter in this sport’s successful strike and point claiming ratio. So the thing that bugs me that most people in this sport, and you from what I can see so far in this video, is that y’all like to keep your shields really close to your body and only move that arm to block an attack after it’s already partly in motion, so while the strike from your opponent is hitting the shield and thus may not constitute as point-earning strike for that reason, you opponent’s weapon is still hitting you for the most part, I think. It could also just be the sound of the weapon hitting the shield, but some times I hear the sound of steel on steel even though I see the shield blocking the attack. The solution to preventing that which may increase your success of preventing your opponent from getting a point in the chance you’re just a little too late in blocking the opponents attack, is while you’re attacking or just before you swing to attack, either put your shield out to block your opponents hand/weapon giving you an opening to attack or while attacking, simultaneously put your shield out where you think your opponent is going to attack or block with his sword if he chooses not to block with his shield for whatever reason, as I see that being done often too, a fighter opting to block an attack with his sword and do nothing with his shield. Other than that so far, everything looks great and there are some great blocks and counter strikes being shown here by you and your opponents! Great video so far!
Damn, the fight between you and the guy wearing the black tabard and wearing a Griffon type helm was hard to watch for me because it looked like he was a really tough fighter. He was just kept on waiting for you to attack and attack and attack until he saw an opening to when he could just wail on you, which was a good strategy on his part. Although the second time he got you up against the railing and was just striking you repeatedly on your left side, you managed to block a number of his strikes with your sword even though it was stuck in place but he still got a good number of hits on you it seemed.
Yeah he was just really good and I was also pretty worn out from the previous fights with Richard. Next time I'm only signing up for a couple duels, not all of them lol
No, we still have COVID here in the U.S., however a lot of places are opening up slowly or very quickly depending on how bad the number of cases are in any given state, state county, or city.
There is covid but some people will still put on events to fight in. The full helmets I'm not super worried about catching it though I guess it may be possible.
@@dustinthewind357 Yes similar. The sword and buckler matches were decided by the first to land 5 hits. The rest 1 minute rounds where you land as many striked as possible.
Can you strike with the legs or hands in this sport? Front kicks from muay thai would be really effective, and I guess armored low/middle kicks could also get people off balance really quick. But I think it is more a point thing right? Very fun anyway!
I’m just wondering, do you know if the person that was much shorter than you in the first longswords fight was a woman? I’m only asking because the fighter was a significantly smaller than you! So I’m just wondering if this was a co-ed tournament? Very cool if it is!
Nah that was a new fighter from Cincy, can't recall his name. We didn't have any women fighters on the field this time. There were at the last event i attended,

What are the rules? Like how do they determine who wins?
Mainly point based but the rules change a bit depending on the weapons being used.

I prefer this to those shoving matches thangs'. If they re-watch the fight in slo-mo and score it.
Why are the shields really small?
Hey, there is Bachata Knight!
