This video is helpful but there shouldnt be cuts on ANY video thats for a direct path as people could get easily lost.

For anyone wondering like I was, the area he used to climb the megalos out of the trench is at the little cliff that divides the element lake from the start of the lower drake trench. Also, it's not too difficult to get a spino out, I found that using the bipedal walk seemed to make it easier to steer it during the wall walk.

Best method is the one I used. It takes time to put together, but it's far more powerful for a single player than a single Megalosaurus. The Karkinos can traverse the entire Rock Drake nest zone with ease, & they can take on a multitude of Rock Drakes at once. Get 2 mate boosted Karkinos 150 tames if possible, but not necessary. Then get 2 mate boosted Carno's, again max level if possible. Then pick up the 2 carno's with the Karkinos you're riding, & head down to the Rock Drake nests. Carno's are there in case the Rock Drakes run underneath your Karkinos & cause it to float defenseless in the air. Just drop the Carno's if this happens and they will destroy the Rock drakes. Obviously bring plenty of extra gear and decent saddles. Both Karkinos and Carno's are immune to radiation. Happy Hunting & Have Fun!
Harold Hazzer but your method is alot Harder? Megalosaurus is easy tame cant say the same for a karkinos
Sure Megalo's are easier to tame per se. But you can't say it's easier to take a Megalo down to the Drake trench then it is with Karkinos and Carno's@@FUCKTH-cam123
Harold Hazzer Karkinos is ofc better, but i do prefer Megalosaurus tho. Easy to get tamed and High mellee where with karkinos you need alot more work to get it + Karkinos is damn slow..

Yea, ok , the cuts are a bit unfortunate but I figured out easily where to go (I had no struggles at all, only bad cut was the spot with the last Plant Z but I was just not correctly listening as to what you said, but found it in the end)
For me, the Video was really helpful and I tried to check out other Videos but they mainly either already start down there, have a Drake or glide down and I def wanted to go down with my Karkinos. Everything worked well, so thank you for this video it helped me very well!
U can also use Cryopods to get them out. They’re a bitch to make and keep but worth it

Yeah, I tried to use a mega like another video, and he died withen 20 seconds of the drake horde.
could you use Spino's instead of Megalosaurus's? i have a bunch of high levels already tamed
I wouldn't say its impossible but the first time I tried this I attempted it with 2 Spinos and a crab and none of them survived also I don't think you would be able to get the Spinos out.

Started out really good and for the most part was okay. I just wish at every intersection you would have provided the co ordinances. This would have helped out so much more. I stopped watching at 13:20 at the base location when you once again did not show location on map or gps.

The sarcasm in the comment for how helpful this video is exactly how I feel never have I had to skip through a video so much to the point I just gave up and was like we know where they are where the he'll is the method for us solo players so yeah after awhile I just gave up...
I'm preparing for my first egg run. Your video was super helpful in finding the right path to the Spine and following it. I had come to that metal bridge, but thought I couldn't climb it, so had crossed the river in search of another path. (I used my spare/panic-tamed carno as test bait to see if, as I thought, the water would be harmful.) I got most of the way down to the last path but my suit was getting low on durability due to an arthro hitting me while placing a torch. I did bring a spare, but I don't want to risk being down there with NO extra suit in case that also got worn down. My only complaints on your video: The skips really got me confused, especially crossing the river. I couldn't figure out where you landed, as it was very dark. I had to wander around until I saw some of your landmarks. That brings me to the second complaint: Your video is so dark! I'm trying to follow along with the landscape as I do better watching land marks for direction, but it was hard for me to see, specifically in the Red zone and lower into the trench. I'm not sure why my tv is so much brighter than your recorded screen?
My plan is to use my megalo and baryonyx. I am on singleplayer, so have massively boosted stats (wild tamed megalo doing 4k+ damage with several points towards melee). He is about lvl 150 something. The baryonyx is backup, doing about 2k damage. I chose her instead of another megalo because they will just grab the small stuff and chew on them instead of actually helping me in fights. To get to the bottom of the trench, I planned to hop down or glide with my dinos in cryopods. Once I'm down there I'll let out my baryonyx. Since there's a few nests reachable with land dinos I think I'll try those for the first few (or all) runs as they'll be easiest for me.
I'm not able/willing to get a crab yet, as it has to be banged on the head with a cannon, which I don't really want to deal with. Maybe I will have to try to get at least one.
