it sounds perfectly musical to me. you can hear each individual note fairly well.
.......that intro riff..just blew away my expectations about this pedal and left me speechless WOW haha
Jeez, I can imagine if you get this and use it live, some idiot will be like:
"Hey man, your distortion SUCKS!"
and you'l be like:
"That's the point, dingus"
yeah, this thing has 252 waveforms, but he didn't even push down on the wave table button. That changes what the Sample and Bit Depth knobs do. There is a lot more to this pedal than this demo provides, even though it definitely gives you a lot.

i watched some other demos of this pedal, and it seems this pedal was designed to create sounds i would never want coming out of my guitar.

It's obviously a joke guys, they gave him a broken distortion pedal and told him to review it without him knowing, poor guy - Because he is so professional he pulled off, a pretty good review.
I used to cut my speakers, and play with near dead batteries, and under volt my Marshall to get this tone O shit and now they have finally designated and true shit stomper to make you sound line a fucking Duke Nukem pinball game...just great...so musical it hurts.....

you can do most of this by using the external audio input in the native instruments FM8 plugin using ableton as a a VST platform and using some of abletons plugins such as the eroder and the graindelay, whats more is that its all midi controlable and easy to set fx chain presets as well.

This is the best guitar demo I've ever seen, pmsl! I can even hear Andy starting to giggle halfway through.
The pedal does sound awesome though, sounds like a load of dissonant notes played together through a distortion pedal and a whammy pedal together.
this is good for people who can play but get bored doing normal shit.

When would you use this pedal? This is one of those pedals you buy .... use it for about 30 minutes... and then try to sell it without losing to much money. :-)

That was a real messed up version of Joker and the Theif. I was actually looking this pedal up because I think Andrew Stockdale was using it on his solo in "Apple Tree". Wolfmother is good, but the original trio was better.

@sneekman Yes, it absolutely can! Try running a sine wave into it, or more easily, just put an octave down pedal in front of it. Super nasty bass sounds.
