- Imagine a group of determined individuals with unwavering resolve prepared to make a stand, united as one. Each step they take is deliberate, their unity palpable, creating an atmosphere charged with anticipation of Independence for Scotland- nothing less. Would you be the boots on the ground?
Really great episode. Defo gets me stoked to get after it! It’s a no brainer to hammer home the colony fact, all the items you all mentioned, English infrastructure, weapons of mass destruction, we can’t leave the “union”, 500 odd English MPs making decisions, their decisions that affect Scotland etc etc…. That sounds like quite a gathering! Top folk fighting for Scotland. 🏴
Unite Unite Unite for
Independence independence independence
End English Rule come on people of bonnie Scotland

Well Done All This Is What Scotland Needs
As does Cornwall and Wales 👍
When I fill in forms online I don't put Great Britain or UK I put 'Colony of Scotland' everyone should do that, it shows we are in a Colony to everyone you contact by form or post no matter who you write to . they will see that and talk about it and spread the word.
great idea. and 100% true
Another great show guys
We need to join the GLOBAL SOUTH. and understand we are a stalled and undeveloped country
If you want to resolve a problem, you have to define the problem.
If you can’t define the problem it is highly unlikely you will find a solution to the problem.
The problem Scotland faces is that it is an English colony.
Even in Through a Scottish Prism you fall into our English colonial master’s trap of allowing them to dictate the terminology you use.
• Stop talking about the ‘Union’. There is no such thing. Scotland is an English colony.
• Stop taking about Unionists. Call them what they are, people who want Scotland to remain under English colonial rule.
• Stop calling it the British Parliament. There is no such think. It is the English parliament.
• Stop calling it the United Kingdom. There is no such thing. It is England and its three colonies, Scotland, Wales, and the North of Ireland.
• Stop calling it the Scottish parliament. It is our English colonial master’s administration in Scotland.
• Stop talking about dissolving the Union. There is no Union we are a colony.
• Stop talking about Independence. Talk about removing ourselves from English colonial rule.
The words you use are important - they condition the way people think and form the bedrock of what they believe to be true.
Our English colonial masters are good at this stuff. They have been doing it to us for over 300 years.
They dominate everything in our lives - don’t let them dominate the conversation too.
Kernow/Cornwall 😁
Good if proven true and do what?
@@dottester3039 What does that mean?
Oh dear oh dear oh dear.
This is so true!! Listen up people.
Well done Eva, but another point is re, benefits . an independent Scotland would get ,re_industrialised reversing what the English government has done especially since oil discovery in the north sea .children growing up would see jobs waiting, and no more would fear of the future be a thing ,instead hope and prosperity awaits our sons and daughters through proper management of our resources and skills .
Gans ol bolunjeth da dheugh why oll 👍Never forget the Cornish!
Hi troops 👋 hope you are all well 👍
We are NOT too wee, we are NOT too poor, but reading some comments on here and in other places, there are a lot of us TOO BLUDDY STUPID!
Uk monarchy channel it no support in Scotland it irrelevant uk monarchy Thomas. Awesome thanks. Italy my nationality Italian. Italy Republic 🇮🇹🙏 Merry Christmas 🎄🎩🎁
Interestingly it has been argued that failure to translate the Bible into Scots started the demise of the Scots language, and so Scots identity.
There is lot in that argument I figure.
And I cant agree more that telling me how an Independent Scotland will be is utterly pointless. How an Independent Scotland will look is only for the voters of an Independent Scotland to decide.
Speculation and 600 page documents etc are a total waste if time.
Guys. Love your work. 'Figuring out a way to get involved. Listen, I don't agree ref the skeletal approach to campaigning. Not political policies but where we fell down last time was we couldn't provide aclear pathway to independence and the pathway after independence. Alba have done a lot of work on that. I like it. Tbat's all we need. No politics - but a pathway.
The pathway has to be an electoral event and that I am afraid involves politics
@@barrheadboy1684 pretending stuff like currency doesn’t matter is insane.
@jamescarpenter2513 A Scots pound n a badket of currencies backed by our natural resources and then watch the £ tank will £Scots soars
@@barrheadboy1684 Backed by what ‘natural resources’ exactly? And how? Scotland’s economy is tiny compared to England’s. We’d be in trouble from day one with mortgages and debt denominated in GBP and who would back our currency? We don’t make anything that anyone will buy.
Good morning everyone
We're can I get this blue book ? Great chat today
Surely a large part of the alienation of Scottish "middle class", particularly the "mercantile" part of the middle class (not the state sector middle class) is the almost uniform and relentless language of class conflict baked, into to much of the Independence movement.
The constant droning on about the possibility, indeed often it would seem inevitability, of a socialist nirvana, post Independence.
This entry is sadly in to many places just another example of this.
Fact is without a significant right of centre aspect, without buy in from the bulk of the local business sector, Independence is dead in the water.
To much of Scotland seems to resent business success, to much of our developing culture rejects the very idea of competition as anything but bad.
The nature of what passes for "successful" business in Scotland is another debate entirely.
Stop it. We're taling the privelaged with us. This must appeal to everyone. WHY? Because everyone benefits. Class division cannot be a barrier to independence, so cut it out. There is a pathway for the privileged, too and the need to see that. The principle is true in the sense of 'threat to...' But that applies to the working class... Many of whom just can't be arsed with the disruption. "Are things really that bad?" i a common reposte. So we need to show exactly how bad it is. People generally still have a problem acceptin/overcomibg the fact that Westminster andcthe Depp State have done a phsy op on us for centuries.

The Independence issue has come fool circle: once the domain of the cranks and crazies on the periphery it’s now back there again.
It’s no surprise that Indy is most popular with the poor in Scotland because they’re also the least well educated. Of course they’re in favour of it when they’re told the perennial lie that Scotland is ‘rich’ and that Scotland is the ‘cash cow’. Really? How is a country with a GDP of barely £200 billion (and a deficit of 10,4% of that GDP) the ‘cash cow’ to a nation whose GDP exceeds £2 trillion! Please do tell!
Scotland also has the perfect demographic storm: the oldest country in Europe with one of the least economically productive populations plus one of the highest percentages of those who do work employed by the public sector!on top of that immigrants don’t want to come here! England is overrun with economic migrants because of the opportunities and Scotland can’t attract anyone!
And this is a good basis for independence? Without the annual fiscal transfer/ subsidy from rUK we are BANKRUPT.
So, stop talking nonsense and encouraging the poor to vote for that which will make them poorer still. Accept reality and encourage ever more wealthy English retirees to come here (they’ve been paying for us for years let them enjoy the freebies they funded) and let our best and brightest take the opportunities that London offers and move there.
Independence is economic suicide for Scotland.
Same old unionist claptrap, these lies you tell have been debunked time and time again, not only have the leaders of better together admitted to lying the former governors of the Bamk of England havecstated how rich Scotland is. But it's good to see how worried you unionists are having to regurgitate the same nonsense.
@@allanalba How ‘rich’ is Scotland exactly? We can’t even pay pensions without England subsidizing us.
Well let's just put it this way the windfall tax on Scottish oil and gas raised £80 billion to get the UK out of bankruptcy after the Truss budget, we got £1 billion our renewables will make the oil and gas look like pocket money, WE subsidise the rest of the UK not the other way round, Scotlands assets alone are north of a trillion. As stated by the governor of the bank of England
@@allanalba You’re repeating the popular confusion about what the Bank of England Governor said. He was referring to assets under management/ currently domiciled in Scotland! All of which would flee south in the highly unlikely event we vote for Indy!
So, again, explain how a nation with a GDP of barely £200 billion can subsidize a nation with a GDP of in excess of £2 trillion? I can’t wait to hear that!
You’re also conflating gross numbers with nett tax revenues!
@@allanalba Curiously, official UK government figures said the oil and gas windfall taxes would amount to £14 billion over the next 6 years… if prices remained high. Hmmmm…. So less than Scotland’s deficit, last year alone then?
Unlike yourselves I don’t want the SNP back in power in 2026. Roddy might want the SNP back in but most independence activists don’t. Sturgeon is toxic and I will never vote for them again. Sorry Roddy. I’m voting Reform both votes in Glasgow as there is a chance they could nudge out Patrick Harvie. I would much rather vote Reform than the SNP. It’s purely a protest vote. Alba will get no MSPs and if the SNP get back in they will do nothing about independence.
The Reformed Turds hate Cornwall, Wales, Ireland and Scotland …
Imagine a handful of obscure online cranks trying to delude people (including themselves) into thinking they represent a mass movement. A movement with so few followers that they have to portray their movement using computer generated images of a crowd. Each step they take is false, their disunity palpable, creating no atmosphere because only a handful of people pay attention to them.
Oh poor wee johnny sounding like a very frightened yoon, comes on to tell us all how irrelevant we are, but if we were irrelevant isn't the confused wee mite not making us relevant by commenting 😉😂😂
@@allanalba If I flick a mosquito off my arm, it's not because I think the insect is important. But if it makes you feel better to cherish the illusion that you and Alba are important, go for it.

@barrheadboy1684 if you were half as intelligent as you think you are, you would be able to argue your case instead of immediately telling anyone who disagrees with you that they're stupid 😀
SAME SHIT DIFFERENT CENTURY IN A LAND OF SHEEP' SCOTLAND. Maaa
The five talking heads in this video couldn't organize a successful church bake sale, let alone a successful political movement. Which is probably one reason (of many) why their "movement" is going nowhere.
Ok, maybe I'm too critical--maybe they COULD organize a bake sale.
Oh diddums yet here you are commenting on the show, 😂 that is not a sign of irrelevance it's a sign of fear from a unionist
@@allanalba Mosquitos are an irritant, not a threat. Are there mental health issues with you that you seem to cherish the belief that everybody "fears" you and Alba? When was the last time you visited a mental health professional?
