I tried being a Yoda main, I was so bad until I actually started playing the way Yoda was meant to (Form IV) which is just aggression. 3 agility strikes + 2 dashes + a heal ability is a perfect combination or an aggressive hero
@@ethanragbir8311 He'd actually be a solid support hero if his Presence worked as intended. It's bugged to where it won't heal allies after more than one use in the same life unless certain conditions are met; and that's like his best ability.
@@jdr_02 His parry mechanic is also strange. I'm about a level 280 Yoda but I still don't even have it down to a tee. It's almost as if you have to wait a second before you can parry as yoda. Whereas with other heros, right as an ability or saber connects with your block you can parry
i can't stand its bugs. it failed to activate for me 3 times in a duel and just like that i got half of my life taken away cause i was waiting for it to activate
@@amirabrown7318 the reach card doesn’t actually extend the distance to activate frenzy, it just increases the distance kylo jumps while he is already in frenzy. I would just takes cards that make kylos abilities longer
Quick tip: When you are at even health against a yoda, do not fear his dash attack and just trade the hits. No matter which character you will always deal more dmg than his dash.
@@tdegrddeehjgd I wasn’t talking about yodas regular attacks. His regular attacks without opposing the darkside is 125 in the front and 150 in the back. With the Starcard he deals 141 in the front and 166 in the back. His dash deals 85 but with the star card it does 101. Rey does 120 in the front. 140 in the back. With insights - 130/150 With insights and Opportunist card 145/165
I’ve found dooku is a great counter for a yoda if you’re good at him. (I’m almost there lol) but he can disable yodas extended health and can counter his dash with 3 dodges. The only thing that dooku suffers from is his range is fairly low.

GGs i wish more people would respect 1v1s but i do know that there are a lot of new players that might not know, it is cool to see all the new players.
I have mixed feelings about it and wish there was a desperate 1v1 Game mode. Sometimes it’s fun to just duel, but strategizing with a teammate is fun too

I never realized how competitive this game is. All the mechanics really just caught me off guard. I honestly admire it. I personally like 2015 hvv more but i love the content of this game.

I faced a very good Yoda player in Showdown, and we were equally matched. He played defensive, but always surprised me whenever he made his move. The problem was that we were chipping each other’s health, so we knew we just had to go all out before the round ended. There was 10 seconds left in the match so I had to do the annoying task of spamming to destroy his stamina. We chatted and he said that he gives respect to me for being the first person beat him on Hero Showdown in a month. Though I think he was exaggerating.
Perhaps being forged in the fires of combat himself, he has no qualms about 2v1 or 1v2 for that matter. Duels are great and all but a legit 1v2 (sheeid even a 1v3 or 1v4 if you're inclined) is quite exhilarating. Such warriors do not shirk at number of challenges but revel in the challenge.
It’s cool to watch back at your videos. When this game got its updates that made it what it is today you are the one who taught me how to play honorably and skillfully. You taught me the parry and the hook swing and looking back at these vids I see now each and every movement and decision you make as or right before you do them. Some friendly advice: work on predicting with parries instead of predicting with a dodge. Obviously this vid was posted a year ago tho so Imma go watch some newer vids. Ggs facts
Jumping when you're under Rey's mind trick is often a good way to make it wear off without consequence - though its only really effective if they are no blaster heroes around

I didn’t know this but apparently you can’t activate defensive rush while blocking and that killed me so many times in HvH Not just because it wouldn’t activate but as soon as I let of the block I’m either thrown or hit by the whole team at once
@@TheStarBazaar I did the testing in arcade (there is a tiny chance these aren't the same as multiplayer) but anyway, with expose weakness, initiative, & extra duelist damage attacking from behind, dooku can deal a whopping 336 damage for one hit (initiative) which is insane. Do you know if you are blocking and a saber hero hits you while blocking you can counter it so as soon as they hit you attack

Is there any secret mechanics to Kylo's pull? It doesn't seem consistent. Sometimes I get them to go flying and other times they hardly go two inches.
