    Dear Ahmed Mekawy,
    Many thanks for sharing your results with us. It is very useful, especially for me as for a beginner. My questions:
    - From viewpoint of particles with more complex shapes, the normalization should be done for the surface area of the particle, or for the area seen by the incident light (projection of particle shape to the plane which is perpendicular to the light propagation direction)?
    - How can I decompose the contribution of higher-order of multipoles (n>2, eg.: sextopulo, octupole, etc.)?

    • @ahmedmekawy1632
      @ahmedmekawy1632  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Wasya87, Thanks.
      - Yes I agree (projection of particle shape ...).
      - For higher order multipoles, you can refer to dx.doi.org/10.1088/1367-2630/14/9/093033
      However, I believe, for very high orders >4, the particle size will be much larger than the wavelength, so you can again apply approximate formulae.

      @@ahmedmekawy1632 It says, define "n" and "ik" in "wave equation 1". So I wanna ask that should it be same as dielectric constant of my material? The second problem I am arising that I creates a lot of fine mesh which stuck-up the calculation. So how can I customize mesh size to increase computation time?
