my first trip was with the rideSFO crew back in 2012. Good times, rolled maybe 20 deep. We naturally split up into an A group, B group, and technical difficulty group, lol.
Nice video man! Been there many times. Was just there last week and at the bottom of Butcher, right before the 1st bridge, I ran up on a mama bear and cub. Almost $#!T my pants. They wondered back off the trail though. But just a reminder, they out there!
I absolutely love the downiville down hill! Great editing and description of the trail! My chika and I try going one every year. Butcher ranche trail is my favorite.. it isn’t easy going 14 miles downhill lol.. thanks for sharing mi amigo! Looking forward watching future clips! 👍🏽🔥🔥🔥
Awesome vid and awesome riding. So what was the deal there? Are they running shuttles? Anyone care about covid? Got a trip planned next week. Curious what protocols, if any, are. Thanks.
AH Imaging one of the 2 shuttle companies are open. Same protocol as most in CA: masks in the shuttle van, masks needed to enter establishments, outside dining only. The town really needs the business.
Hey where are ya located? I want to be a traildad myself and would love to go ride with you. I'm in the Bay Area (Hercules), would love to hear from ya. Thanks for the awesome videos!
@@TrailDad I haven't been to any trails in the bay, but I did go plenty in Colorado. I live in East Bay myself in Hercules. I don't have FB, but my email is hongjson@gmail.com. Feel free to email me and we can go sometime! Thanks for the reply!
you can go on the shuttle company website (downieville outfitters and yuba expeditions) and book it there. you can also self-shuttle, it's easy paved road up to top
Iv’e seen guys on a hardtail on this route. It’s tough on butcher ranch at some sections but if you’re good at picking lines its definitely doable. The other trails in this route are hardtail friendly 🤙🏽
Have you been to Downieville? What's your favorite Downieville story?

@@Anthony74te27 that's one crazy day i bet! i wish to see a bear on a ride too but hopefully it's at least 200 yards away lol
@@EastBayRich big groups are always fun. We had around 25 last year and yes, we naturally split into groups

How does downieville work? You just show up and there’s a place you pay for shuttle and they take you or what
you can go on the shuttle company website (downieville outfitters and yuba expeditions) and book it there. you can also self-shuttle, it's easy paved road up to top
Can you provide more info/directions about the self-shuttle , I’m planning to go this weekend. Thanks in advance
