    Fantastic review.. Thank you. Fascinating to hear the evolution and difference between the range. So useful! The clarity of the PR37 is amazing but not at the expense of the the midrange. It sounds beautifully balanced to me. Great voice and original song too! Seriously considering this as my next microphone now. God bless, Phil.

    Walter,
    Thanks for the excellent review. I have been a fan of the PR35 for a while. Your voice closely matches my lead singer's voice so your comparisons between the PR35 & PR37 was spot on and very helpful.
    On a separate note, AWESOME voice, keep it up.
    Thanks again.

    Nice Review! I started with a PR 35 and later purchased the PR 37. I am partial to using the PR 37 for the same reasons to include having less handling noise. I often use it to sing at Church, where we absolutely have to eliminate potential feedback. All the Heil microphones are excellent at eliminating the feedback problem. Very nice singing also. God Bless You, please keep on singing!

    Is it as easy to sing into the PR 35 like it is with the PR 37? Does the PR 35 suck the voice sound with ease like the PR 37?
    Plus tonality wise, I like your voice better on the 35 than the 37. The 37 has more of an obvious “ice pick” effect.
    Please let me know.

      Joo. Samalla kun numerot isonee, niin soundi myös muuttuu vähän laadukkaammaksi. Pr22 kuulostaa kirkkaammalta,kuin esim pr35 ja pr37,koska jälkimmäisissä on alataajuuksia korostettu enemmän. Pr 35 ehkä jopa vähän liikaakin omaan makuun. Pr 37 on aikalailla täydellinen balanssiltaan. Mun kitaristi on laulanut jo muutaman vuoden pr 22 ja on oikein tyytyväinen siihen

    I am missing same handling noise test you did with PR20 and PR22 to be done with PR37. Furthermore could you compare it with original Beyerdynamic TG V70 , which use very similar capsule (in fact this capsule design was introduced by Beyer looong time ago in late '90s ), please?

    • @AnssiKansalaOfficial
      @AnssiKansalaOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m afraid I only have TG V50- you’re right I didn’t remember to do handling noice test well enough. However PR37 is winner in that compared to PR22.

    • @jansafarik313
      @jansafarik313 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AnssiKansalaOfficial I bet it is because PR22 has is very handling noise prone (nice "warm-grip" mod BTW :D ), but I wonder how is is in comparison against mics that are similar construction and therefore should be on same level: PR35, Beyer TG V70 or even TG-X80 who has kinda spider shockmount system (you can see "relic" of the spider rubber hinges even on PR37 capsule - even though its not used by manufacurer, which is IMO funny :D ). Looking forward to the next video on this topic... and anyway thanks for mic review anyways.

      Not this guy responding, and this is a great review, but answering because I helped a friend choose between the TG V70 and PR 35. Both great mics in their class...we found the difference was mostly in the singer. The Beyerdynamic mic shines with a thinner higher voice, and the Heil with a lower male voice. They are both really nice. I am about to upgrade my PR 22 to the 37 from this review, especially after hearing the improvement in articulation in the lower mids from the 35 to the 37. That might help you choose the best mic for your voice....you need to spend three times as much to get a mic that would be great for anyone IMO;

      @@stewartcohen7683 Thank U Stewart for your answer! I couldnt get my hand on TG V70. I have used that mike once before. Good Mic. Nice to hear that my review helped you. There a re a couple of live videos on my channel where I use PR37. I really like it a lot : )
      In my live set up I use PH37->Tc Helicon live acoustic pedal--> mixer and that’s it. Little eq on mixer (low cut 150 KHz/ cut about 250-350KHz to avoid muddines)

      @@AnssiKansalaOfficial And thank-you again for your review! I am so grateful for people (like you!) who have the right equipment and take the time to do this. I recently bought a Sennheiser e906 for recording my amp courtesy of a great review that brought out the articulation in lower mids (versus the 609). It really helps to listen to this stuff on a computer with good sound and either headphones or studio monitors. Anyway, the extra tips on eq are also appreciated....my PR 22 does well for me even with a 3 position eq by setting the mids at 1 o'clock and the highs at 11 o'clock, handy thing to remember in dark rooms. But eq is one thing and articulation or detail another. You can't augment articulation with EQ, which is why I'm happy to be ordering the PR 37 thanks to your help!

    I got mine on Friday and tried to use it at a gig. It seemed to make a lot of noise from the body which also transferred through the mic cable. I love the sound of it but it seems really hot. I turned the gain down but still got a lot of body noise. Any ideas on how to control this. It's my first Heil microphone. I should add that I am a singing drummer. I bought thinking it would keep out the bleed volume from the drums.

      Hi Raymond. What kind on Eq curve you had on you mic channel. I recommend to cut of low end from your mic under 250-300 Hrz. You dont need that for your vocals unless you are really low bass singer. That might help.
      Also you might want to use gate in your channel...
      Hollow stage can also reate boomy effect from microphone stand.
      Experiment wit eq and gate. Dont give up too early : )
