He actually talks a lot but he doesn't like interviews, but this was with his kid. I used to see him in the paddock chatting away but he gets quiet with official stuff.
"Some use telemetry but we do this the old way and learn to feel the car". I'd argue that it's the right way to go. At this phase at least. Have fun and learn to trust your "butt". After all the driver has the only telemetry built inside them that is actually controlling the car.
If you dont have the feeling in you there is no telemetry that can help you go fast. Bad driver can drive with telemetry but cannot be guick. It's all about the feeling in driver.@@PastaRulla
@@Northernliiights it`s not either, it is both. You have to feel the car and then improve it telemetry. Sometimes it improves either faster or better than just feel it and try ti change it.
Trusting your butt is key, he is still very young, give him some simple karting, they will eventually go for Formula cars when he is in his progressed teens. Before being a young adult he will be established with feeling with the butt and work more and more with telemetry. Robin will give us great racing if he has great interest while developing and the needed talent. His dad will be a great mentor to thrive under.
Kimi ( still the last ferrari champion) driving against all the greatest champions, also against jos and seeing in his last years of his own carreer max dooing so well i think he thinked we can do that to. Lets hope we see robin in f1 over a few years
If you don't feel the car, no amount of telemetry or diagnostics can help you. If you don't feel the car, you will never be in perfect control. Exactly how sensational drivers are made.
Only one Kimi..thank goodness. Like him, but don't need a racing world filled with his personality. His son is obviously aware of his Dad's F1 reputation for giving short answers to stupid questions and giving a "can't be bothered" attitude. Kimi earned it. The kid hasn't and comes off as a real twat. The interviewer was kind and trying to connect while the kid was being a total jerk. Jos, who could be a jerk raised Max right. Compare the two when Max was young and the difference is 180 degrees. As far as Kimi, looked like he was trying hard to throw the interviewer a bone after the way his kid acted. I think he talked more in that interview than he did in all his F1 post-race conferences put together so well done to Kimi. Nice to see him relax a bit. Wish the kid well, but he needs to lighten up.
What the hell are you talking about? Kid was fine, and even if he wasn't, he is just a kid. It's probably more because of excitement than being jerk. Come on.
Robin acted fine, I don't see a problem with any of his answers. He said it was a good fight, but at the end he won it, and he expects the racing to be close. For an interview with a kid at that age, especially one who's ESL, that's completely normal in my opinion.
I dont see any problems with the anwers that robin gave. I dont think its fair to expect him to answer questions in interviews like a seasoned media personality, especially when he is probably not fully comfortable with the language yet.
Dad talked more in this interview than in his entire career. :)
Kimi being Kimi. The Iceman, my hero ❤
He's just a kid any kid would answer like that but i thought it was hilarious how he did such a kimi in the first question, "It's nice"
this is the most consecutive words ive ever seen spoken from Kimi
Hes showing good behaviour because of Robin

Thar could be, time will tell. At the moment drivers who use telemetry have some advantage, the way you feel the car helps in tight situations

How is the engineer going to set up the car for you if you can't explain whats wrong?

@@Northernliiights imagine how they do that in 1950-80 🤔
Looking forward to cheering for Robin when he's a F1 driver... no pressure :) (hope you enjoy racing as much as your dad)
The Iceman and The Ice Cube! I'm sure wherever Robin decides to compete in the world of motorsport, he'll be an absolute star!
A chip of the old block. he doesn't waste words.
BWOAH JUNIOR!! We are proud of you Kimi
robin could not have a better mentor at this stage in his life as a racer
kimi was one of the most naturally talented drivers in his time
A absolute monster in those v10’s
Kimi! You are our hero. Like father, like son. We sincerely love you guys.
Robin's like his dad, doesn't speak much.
And Kimi, he speaks more than his whole F1 career in this interview... 😂
Robin sounds like an english kid. Good luck, be prepared to win and lose and you can't go far wrong.
Whenever Kimi talks about/with his family, he talks more than usual
Anyone noticed how Kimi's english has improved since his retirement from F1
Kimi spoke more here than in his entire Formula 1 F1 career interviews and conferences ~
Robin's interview sounds a lot like his dad 😀 Great to see them have a good time
Son's karting changed the man completely. One word guy has become a paragraph man now 😊
I always get emotional when I see father/son combo in any sport, especially racing.
Goats
Like father like son. Even his kid's attitude is 100% the same as his dad. Cool like ICEMAN. That's the son of the COOLEST and GOAT for you.

0:04 Bwoah its nice to be here
great interviewer
Kimi wouldn’t stop talking.😂
Robin talks like his dad when he was driving - not much.
I dont think i have heard kimi speak that much, even in total 😄
So great to see Kimi!
dad looks so pround ❤
I start the vidéo at 4:11, and wow Robin can drive Kart without arms.
Lmaoo
Love it farther and son same same
Nobody going to mention how well Robin speaks English?
“How did you win the ticket?” Iceman looks away. Lol
You got best teacher Robin
His command of the English language is a lot better than his father's!
The interviewer expected from 10-11yr old kid to talk like someone with 10yr experiences.
No DNA test needed. That’s Kimi’s son.
kimi sure talk a lot nowadays (he surely did back then if interviews gave him time) 😁
Fine boy. I wish I had one just like him.
Good to see he has his father’s brevity when answering shit questions….
Give the lady some credit. Those were reasonable questions.
We're back to the future
Robin said “I know what I am doing, just leave me alone, Dad!”
Jeez the young guy looks like his dad . Good to see Kimi doesn't push his son
Kimi's DNA. The Iceman.
He talks more than his dad 😂❤
hahaha he talks as much as his dad does - love it!
Go Robin
My man Kimi looking stuffed up.
Where was this? The host sounds like a New Zealander.
"Iceman" 2.0 has entered the chat!
lol kimi talked more here than any f1 interview in his career 😆😆

The guy looks dead inside already 😂😂
Bwah is in development
He speaks good english, so cute
That mark webber’s wife?
I hope he fly’s the flag of Switzerland and represents the country of his birth and create his OWN legacy!
Most I hear him say
BWOAH!
I thought the kid was going to be a dbag ngl but hes actually chill
he talks more than when he was driving f1 😆😆
He should have been rejoined McLaren in 2023 if Piastri stayed at Alpine.
McLaren specifically paid off Ricciardo’s contract because Piastri was available.
Robin tell your father to leave you alone and you will know what to do 😂😂😂😂
Man I miss kimi.. don't even bother with F1 these days
Kimi had 2 minutes to speak and hit every every point.
Boah

Jos who got convicted for assault

Its a small child you're talking about. He could be shy or whatever. What a fucking stupid take from a stupid keyboard warrior.
