Ao talks about how she auditioned for hololive many times. Just when she thought she should give up, Pekora inspired her.

Streamers these days basically have to respect what Pekora was able to do. A female streamer reaching the top of the world from a non-English speaking country is a feat unto itself. You don’t need to know her, but all you can do is respect her.
Most of Holomem are actually as ambitious as Pekora, that's why this agency is so great, their member are passionate and aiming for better.
@@Vaissdestruc fact that holomem is as ambitious as pekora but not trying to bring each other down is the best part
AO is very cute & down to earth, I like her
At this point I wonder how many nousagis have infiltrated Cover
YES
All of them?
There're 4 that have admitted to it: Kiara, Polka, Ririka, Ao
@@AP_02You can add those who admitted they watch her like Kanata, Towa, Moona, Ina.
I'll say Jurard too.
And there you have Marine who is the genmate and truly the number 1 nousagi xD
@@AP_02there is Towa, Botan and Nenechi too from what I remember
you have to give pekora on this.. never give up spirit (like my tsundere boy spectrum) and aiming for no.1 is respectable
Spectrum90 proving himself as the most tsundere nousagi since 2020.
Yeah Spectrum is secret pekora no 1 fans
That bastard did it, in some way he got into our heads and now we can't be forgotten!
Pekora really is an idol, she affects people who watch her positively.
Ririka and Polka also said she loved Pekora's quote on her 2m subs, plus there's a new holostar en that she also inspired.
Everyone looks up to Pekora, even at the top she keeps grinding and never stops. Lots of games she plays becomes a trend, Only Up, Q, Suika game etc.
Ririka also mentioned that she also respects Pekora the most, specially when she also watched Pekora's 2mil subs and loved a certain quote from the rabbit.
Ao: "This person, who is always aiming higher, is the one I respect."
Staff, possibly knowing this: "ReGLOSS is here, want to say hi?"
Pekora: "I'm afraid of crowds!" *runs home*
😂
its like getting rejected even before confessing yet 😂
I always forgot about Pekora's "Bocchiness", unlike the very obvious Aqua
Shion
Aside from holding the Top Spots, I would say Peko-chan is also one the most inspirational VTubers out there if not the most inspirational. Her Never Give Up attitude along with her attitude that aims higher and higher is one of the aspects that draws people to her. Also, a lot of her advice actually are simple and straightforward to the point she's just stating the obvious but the difference is how convincing she delivers it that it makes people take actions. She's not just entertaining but also life changing to many people alike.
I would also say Subaru is right there with her, haha
Hololive grew in an exponential rate. At first only a handful of people would audition for each gen. Today, thousands of people do, and one talent (Subaru) even said on stream that she doubts she could get into Hololive if she were to audition for it today. And Subaru is one of Hololive's most successful streamers. So, if Ao eventually got into Hololive, you know that she damn well deserved it.
If you get chosen from a pool of thousands, realistically, you just got lucky.
Everyone who got into the last round of auditions 'deserved it'.
The thing I like a lot about Pekora and hololive in general is that they never talk about their subscriber numbers to belittle other people. So many TH-camrs do that and it just makes me extremely dislike them
About the last part, Nerissa said something similar, she tried to act super cute and got rejected but then she acted like herself and got in! the staff have a really good eye for honesty and nice people, besides I think they're all cute idols after all, it's incredible that they can see the potential that even the talents themselves doubted about at first.
Nerissa: "Imma be cute."
Hololive: "Good. Now be *you*... there, that's better!"
I mean, they already have so many members who are cute without even trying to be, I'm pretty sure you have better chances trying to be unique, cuteness usually comes out naturally anyway.
Being genuine is cute, so she didn't need to make those cutesy voices.
Nerrisa : act cute
Holo : try again
Nerrisa : down bad
Holo : buy buy buy 😭
@@MoleculeXmolecule It's easy to say that, but it's also very hard to put it into practice when you think "I need to be cute to get into this cute idol agency" xD
Little do those who try to act cute know, we find people cute by just being themselves more often than not, haha
so Ririka & Ao where watching pretty much the same thing when they got moved by Pekora's words? Ririka once quoted Pekora as "I want you to think that I only sleep & play games" that line was actually from Pekora's 2mil anniversary stream as well where we see Pekora very rarely open up to her viewers. she was feeling pretty down that time as Marine surpassed her subscriptions then Marine proceeded to cheer her up by saying "I just got lucky" which is somewhat true because some of Rushia's viewers switched to Marine after she was terminated.
.
this is why i always say that Gen 3's debut was the FIRST impactful time for Hololive. to the point that even one of the busiest & well known member, Sui-chan also respects and loves Pekora.
Just after Gen 4's debut was when i started watching, but Pekora's halloween trick house videos were my introduction, followed by her Bunny man collab with Kanata
Gen 3 from everything i've gathered seemed to be like a turning point followed shortly by the explosion that was EN gen 1 xD
If you take away the stuff going viral (which is honestly a lot of luck), and Coco and Myth opening Hololive to a much wider audience, Gen 3 really was the miracle generation.
@Micheldied Coco and Myth honestly don't even come close to the impact of Gen 3. They certainly helped bring in a lot of EN viewers, but Hololive overall skyrocketed when gen 3 came out. To this day, even without Rushia, they alone have more actual live viewers than all of EN combined (Pekora herself equals Myth combined).
this video really puts into perspective how big hololive really is.I can still remember watching pekora in quarantine in 2020 before she hit 1 mil subs and enjoying her streams. Its good to see how big the rabbit hole grew
if chat tell Pekora this, Pekora will surely extort Ao.
One of the most introvert member but also one of the most influential inside and outside group
There is a reason why Pekora is hard to collab and it not because of her introvertness. It is because she always plans her content creation. Even on her tiring day, she will stream to relax. She just really loves streaming
even if one does not end up turning into a nousagi, she brings many fans to love Vtubers and of course hololive
Pekora:let her in and I'll blow up the building
Staff San: don't you mean "or"?
(Building explodes)
add a comma and that sentence would have a very different meaning :)
it was amazing and excellent advice from ao-kun have experienced many auditions and I was moved by her working hard to join into hololive since almost give up but thanks to pekora's stream
biggest thing to take away from this is to just be yourself and you'll have a higher chance of getting accepted.
does all members looks up to pekora
aww that's such a cute story. pekora has a knack of moving people's hearts.
NEVER. GIVE. UP.
THIS IS HOLOLIVE POWER!
I feel the HR in hololive knows if a person is trying too hard on being someone their not during their audition and let them try again and again until they are ready to be focus on being just theirselves and make the acting a side gig for content later on down the line
They know with this holo mem not easy to give up cos they work so hard to get this job.
Yea they stream so much that keeping up an act for so long is basically impossible. Better to find people that just act like themselves, especially now when they got thousands of applicants. There is no need anymore for the talents to adjust their personality when the company can just find the fitting personality naturally.
You can even call that therapy.
Then there is lamy...
Blue recognizes blue
There is always a light on in Hololive. We are into the thousands or more at this point, of people who have been helped by the presence of talents and staff in Hololive. It is to the extent that, fans that have passed away (may their souls rest in peace) have been given very short but powerful remembrances from their oshi's on stream. And so many have stated that they have been saved in some way by the talents. I can't say that I am among the saved, but I am certainly among those who will give all the support they can to this community (Which includes the company). And we can't forget moments between members of the company, nor the talents that were inspired by their senpai.
Pekora reached 2 million over a year ago. Guess she must have auditioned way back then. Apparently ReGloss has been in the works for quite a while now.
Or she was aiming for a place in Gen4 to X.
@@tienmanhnguyen3422 I could be wrong here, but didn't Pekora hit 2 mil way after gen 4 and 5 debuting? And I think pretty close to when X debuted, which means the members may have already been selected or debuted. The debuts between gens has gotten much longer than they were in the past.
@@Micheldied And? Not like we know when Ao failed auditions happened, she could be trying to get in since even gen 2.
Pekora casually proving her best girl status
Now that's how you create a nousagi army pekora. You help them out and gsin thier loyalty
Ririka quoted something from that particular stream too, if I'm not mistaken.
Being true to oneself really is important if you want to be apart of... anything really. Putting on a facade can only take you so far, requires more effort to keep, lastly, it's deceiving.... which is a big negative trait, and people won't be pleased on that.
Heh
In another words, she probably passed because she started being natural and Hololive found her unique enough to accept her?
Our war criminal usagi got a righthand man finally! 😈😝
She already has moona though
@@MFSomething well she's slowing down and we all knew why.. time for a new right hand
She got Exodia already
Gentlemen have we forgotten what happened to the last 2 righthand? 😝 the lore needs a new one!

03:33 Cutesy voice huh?
She’s the embodiment of “Let me in!”
Glad she made it
😊😘❤🥕
Whoa.. after Ririka, Ao, and now we also have Jurard. We got so many Nousagi in HoloPro!
Sharing a bit of personal story, I also had a decent income and position in job. Then when Kaichou decide to graduate, I was keep pondering why someone like her want to leave such comfortable position to challenge new height. After her graduation, I started to apply for another degree and I got it.
So watching HoloPro streams actually can motivate you for real.
glad you understand kaichou decision instead of thinking it's just bcs of anti or hololive bad.
Anyone know any of her manga?
For people who don't know, Pekora was the least popular 3rd gen. She was shy and doesn't has standout skill only her weird voice, many people doubting she would last long as vtuber. Great those people were wrong.
What are you talking about? Pekora has always been very popular.
On debut she had slightly less subs than Rushia but her views & subs skyrocketed so fast that within 3 months of debut she was already competing for No. 1 in view hours among all talents. She basically hit the ground running.
There's no need to make everything a sob story just to make it more "inspiring." Pekora's journey is inspiring enough as is.
I think it's actually Flare who was and has been the "least" popular if you compare the 3rd gen, it was usually Marine and Rushia on top, then Pekora, Noel and Flare
