Also, if you don't like pressed glitters, don't get the ABH norvina pallet #6. As they have pressed glitters, they're not shimmers

Thank you! I hate pressed glitters. They don’t irritate my eyes, I just hate the way they look. I want saturated color with some shine, not chunky glitter all over my lid, and then, inevitability my face.

I have always put vitamin e on my dry skin, prone to eczema and very sensitive. but i put it on my son and he broke out in hives, when he didn't have any active eczema. If my entire collection got lost (heaven forbid!) and I had to start over I would 100% rebuy the whole Blend Bunny collection first! The problem for me with Blend Bunny is their international shipping costs are crazy. $56US to Sydney for the surge palette! That’s more than the palette. Norvina, OTOH, will be stocked in Sephora if I wait long enough.

$46 for Lore, $62 for Fall Magic and $81 for shipping 😏
I instead picked up Shroud x Batty Beans and the moonfall bundle for $124 including shipping.

Regardless, the real reason to get Blend Bunny over Norvina is Blend Bunny does a way better job of giving you different depth of tones, the Norvina is 60% midtones and no transition shades since there are pressed glitters instead and that fourth row is stupidly repetative.

I liked how the yellow turned the orange more into a yellow orange where they met, then it transitioned to the true orange after that, then the purple looked less harsh as well, whereas the Norvina one seemed a bit too harsh of a transition to me. This is the first Norvina palette that really grabbed my attention, but it's still an easy pass for me because glitters and voting with my dollars. So, the reason you're struggling with the neons is because they're neons. Neons don't work like pigments or shadows. They need specific bases or mixing mediums. Once they're placed, you can't blend them too much or else they're just going to disappear.

I have both the Blend Bunny Blends and Surge palettes and 1-5 of the Norvinas. I'll be picking the #6 up for sure. I love bright colors, I love shimmers and I love, love ,love "shitters" (usually best applied with a finger over glitter glue).

Well I think if I had to pick I would go for the original blend bunny palette. It seems it's more of a dupe for the norvina and the colours lay down more like the norvina colours as well plus it's certainly a lot cheaper. It really did turn me off that the glitter in the norvina palette made such a mess. Things like that shouldn't be happening and I think how many people bought that pallet got ready to go out completed almost their entire look and then ended up with glitter all over their face. That's a real deal-breaker for me especially at that price. 2 years ago a $60 palette extremely expensive.

Nadi, I'd play Bingo if you were the caller. I bet that would be a good time. Thanks for the comparison video. It helped me clarify whether to wait on Norvina or not.
They are both beautiful palettes. I have slowly collected both brands. I like them for different reasons.
Norvina is more mainstream in colors & application. They are super pricey. (Get them on a sale!) And nearly indestructible.
BB has some lovely unique tones of familiar colors. The formulas seem to differ a bit between palettes. I think that they're very enjoyable to create looks when I have time.
I like detail work (Surge) & getting out the door quick (Dollhouse). Blends is newest to me. So I can't comment on it.
Choose what works for you best. I went for Blend Bunny. On Black Friday, I'll probably pick up the Norvina.

Thanks for comparing those. I have 3 Norvina palettes, but for the most part I use the mattes. Can’t believe there is glitter in this one… Someone needs to pick up the phone over there because the 90’s are calling to get their sucky shimmer formula back lol. Norvina seems so creative, but I doubt she even uses her own shims on the regular😳

Do you think the blend bunny would work better with a damp brush? 🤔

Love Blend Bunny. Love Norvina. Both are excellent quality. I think Blend Bunny would be less intimidating to someone newer to makeup or color or for experimenting. I feel guilty playing with really expensive palettes because I am going to wipe it off. I do think I will be skipping this Norvina. The previous one though is what a Prince palette should have been.

Also you're comparing true neons, BB pallet, to brights in the ABH pallet. Neons are some of the trickest to work with no matter the pallet and brights are a different formula so will lay differently. Making a comparison not as relevant as you think. However, it's still good to see how these vary between the 2.
I would have personally used the darker orange in the BB pallet than the Neon to keep it comparative to the ABH orange.
    Still a great video idea.

I couldn't agree more. I've got the last 2 and I'm in love. I've not touched anything else. And I'm not usually a colour person unless it's purple.
Now I'm going crazy with their neutrals and colours.
They have something for everyone and I love they've not reverted to warm neutrals like everyone else. I'm cool toned so now I have a large pallet that suit just me.
Thanks for such an interesting video babes 💜💜💜💜

I would buy the Norvina one, I have 3 of those and it’s nice to wear the crazy colors with no eye irritation. My eyes are extremely sensitive and I know their formula won’t cause wet, red, sore eyes.

I think if you matched the rows the “theme” of colours are the same but they are not the same. But that said if you have Surge you don’t need the Norvina and vice versa. Though i have the surge and still want the Norvina lol but i am not made of 💰

It’s disgraceful when an indie brand or drug store brand copies an expensive brand but okay when the expensive does it bc when have you ever seen people talking negatively about a bigger brand copying a smaller brand? It’s always disrespectful when the smaller or cheaper brand does it

  • @scray00

This is no contest for me. It’s indie all the way. A good indie brand has quality products, sometimes a mainstream price tag some not, and you as a consumer matter to them. They listen to critiques on their launches and make the necessary adjustments for the next launch. They have excellent customer service because we are literally putting food on their table so they do go out of their way to fix any problems. I cannot justify mainstream and haven’t bought a mainstream palette in over two years
My favorite indies are glaminatrix, terra moons, Sydney grace, devinah, and jd glow in case anyone was looking for suggestions.

Edit: looking at swatches and uses, I'm more for the blend bunny so you saved me spending the money on Norvina. I'm a cool-toned loving person.
Also, somebody said most of the shades from the new Norvina palette are in the other big palettes, so that may be something to look into 🙂

If we're being real though. Blend Bunny has only released rainbow pallets. Different tones maybe but all rainbow. So whether or not they copied them??? Hard to actually say.
Side note, the Norvina pallets are 4/10 IMO and would never use them in my kit.
