The pivot turn at 7:57 where you hear the wheel squeak is your best one so far. When you hold the frontside 5-0 but you aren't stalling, you'll find the rear wheel is going to skid as the truck is locked in. It takes some time to get comfortable but doing what you are doing is all you gotta do. Great progress.
Great video as always Steve! Your progress is unreal and your love of skateboarding is infectious. It's scary doing anything on a spine like that but you smashed it
Steve dude ,I'm fully on the edge of my chair just getting stoked watching your progression, your quirky antics are just a bonus, your probably an astronaut or a sasquatch enthusiast in your regular beat.
Yeah, i just gave it a rewatch at 1/4 speed for the purposes of science. You could have ended up anywhere! 😂 Also… i gotta tell yer… A weird coincidence happened… last night I ordered an 8” powell mini logo to try some freestyle. My other decks 9.65 i think. My Mom asks me today “have you got a skateboard… we took your nephew round the park on his scooter and he saw the skate park”. I said yeah.. but the wheels are wrong. So I realised this was Skate Destiny (TM) 😉 and straight away I ordered the nanos and some bones reds. So now i have two set ups.
Dude!!! It’s been a minute since I’ve seen your episodes! I missed your dry sense of humor! And I have to be honest I haven’t been practicing on the board in a long time because of fear and plus I hurt my ankle at work…so I don’t know, we’ll see what I’m going to do with the board and all.
Dude thanks for touching base. I haven’t been out as much the last week with the humidity. But a cool down comes Wednesday so that’ll be great. What’s going on with the ankle?
Another great sesh and edit. Loved the roll and drop off the block at 5.40! Unless I’m mistaken, are you speaking directly just to me on your vids?? 🤣🤘🏻
I just put the same dragons and bone reds on my board yesterday. I'm also learning to skate at 41 YO. I guess, I learned how to ollie yesterday. But I need to check the video record.
Man, awesome job on that last combination, it looked great! Really impressed with that jump off the hubba, that was pretty freaking cool. I thought you were going to go for a rock to fakie pump over that spine, you got to get that on the list. That would be over the top cool! Still took some nerves for the rock to fakies on it, not much landing zone on top of that thing! Keep it going!!
@@Steves_SkateXplosion That looked like a great place to do those combinations. I used to be able to tail stall when I skated with my son in my 50's, but I'm not back there yet. I would love to try that spine on the inlines, that one didn't look too bad.
that wet pavement is scary. That's how I broke my shoulder. Good move in changing to 55 wheels . The speed and board control helping you link tricks on your run
Yeah unless I’m in a big giant bowl the 60mm aren’t as necessary. Plus they’re just so huge it’s almost too much. Honestly I think 55-56mm is my favorite size.
5:40 ish Graffiti from Another World....Steve, I'm gonna try dropping in again today with several different boards. I'll video & post it. I can't stand the peer pressure 😆
I don’t love the 60mm wheels because they’re so dang big. I mean, they work great in big Bowls for sure but that’s more like I’m surf skating. But the wider board is just incredible for stability when I’m doing new things. So much better. 👍
I checked out Willard in Indy and the Zionsville park and wondered if I might see you. Have you been to Willard? The bowl is so much better than Zionsville! Keep shredding!
Yeah I get to Willard from time to time. Problem for me is the bowl feels so quick and tight especially after skating Zionsville so much and I can’t make decisions fast enough.
@@Steves_SkateXplosion I feel you there, specifically 2 of the pockets almost threw me off the board a few times. Good all-around park, though! But not a great area.
@@Steves_SkateXplosion pretty new, I got a board last september, but I've only put like a few months time into skating if I added it all up. I've gotten pretty comfortable at riding around though.
@@Steves_SkateXplosion It has but I think I'm less motivated being in the city, at least until I get more comfortable. but I look forward to it and have been getting in the habit of forcing my self (a lot of hills where i am) Need to get more comfortable carving
i cant believe you are leaving without rolling out of a frontside grind after just bailing on that nice one you got. i even said out loud while i was watching"yeah" when you did it. but you didnt do it again lol what a grind tease

@@Hoosierdaddyjones812 yeah I tend to go alone because I gotta focus on my vids. But we should meet up sometime. I need to get to Greenwood. I hear that’s super good. Hunger park built it.
@StevesSkateXplosion last time I was in greenwood, all they had was fabricated ramps with metal by the school park. Be nice to check that one. If you get a weekend day or morn to go I'm down.

Your fear management is good, I cant see any. I'm still working on transition fear in general. Nice work. 🙌🏼👏🏼🛹

😂 as funny as ever! Good bit of stringing together there and i have also learnt that the splits is not our friend. Thanks Steve

The Guy From Indiana back with another one. I’ve been working up to an axle stall drop in. Pretty scary!
Can you find a small ramp to practice on? Doesn’t even have to have transition if you can just practice the pivot and drop in. 👍
