Rainbow High Doll Make-over: Sunny Madison (unboxing, review & hair make-over)

- A big thanks to MGA Benelux for sending me this Rainbow High doll as a gift! I'm so excited for this brand new doll line to be available in The Netherlands and the rest of Europe too!
In this video, I'm unboxing the yellow doll from Rainbow High: Sunny Madision. She comes in a gorgeous box, that really looks like a luxurious package. On the back of the box, it shows you the main 6 girls, that will also be shown in an aminated series, that's coming soon!
These dolls looks absolutely stunning, with great quality hair, fashionable outfits and the PRETTIEST inset eyes.
To make this doll fit to my style, I wanted to give her a bit of a make-over, by washing her SUPER long hair and giving it some bouncy curls, with a little rainbow touch. I'm never the biggest fan of bangs on dolls, but for Sunny, I did want to keep them (for now!).

Her hairstyle reminds me of Sailor Moon
Same! I'm currently in the process of making some sailor moon outfits to sell!
Her style was actually influence by Sailor Mood. A lot of the dolls outfits are based on pop culture things.
I own her and yes she does make be think of sailor moon! She also reminds me of bubbles idk why I think it’s because of her face -

I LOVE Sunny, her hair is so long. I want to try so many hairstyles on her. Also she has a middle part so there’s a lot of cute pigtail hairstyles you can do. I just wish her second outfit came with a cute pleated skirt or something more Sailor Moon like since that’s what her hair was inspired by.
It's sooo long!!! Really love it! I can't wait to try so many different styles either!

Yellow is one of my favorite colors, so I was surprised that I didn’t care for this doll at first glance. I think it was the buns + long straight hair made her face look oddly narrow. However, I absolutely 💛💛💛 her after what you did with her hair!!! She now reminds me of Chrissy Snow from the tv show “Three’s Company,” a beautiful character w/ a fun & sunny personality. She wore clothing almost identical to this as it was set in California in the 80’s. If I could achieve the same look with her hair that you produced, I definitely would want this doll. 💛🌞💛
Do Ruby next!! No; JADE!!! I'm just so curious as to watch how you costumize her. She's just so different from the rest. Wait. AAAARGH. Is it possible for you to do all of them? *shy face emoji* You're just so talented with the way you style the doll's hair and I'm OBSESSED!!!!!!!!!

I bought sunny today !!! at WalMart and I find her absolutely gorgeous and the funny thing is that my first rainbow high that I bought is Violet because I love her a lot and she's My favorite and even before I know that her and sunny was childhood friends in the screen sunny was the one I wanted in second and I got it! so not only have I had the two best friends but also the one with bangs!😂😂 just like you. and I intend to buy others of course! they are just too beautiful and I love the tutorials you do with the dolls hair it's very creative😊♥️ keep up the good work !😍♥️♥️

Hi! i have a question: What kind of curlers are the ones you used for her ponytails? ive been trying to look for some to use instead of thick straws but I can't seem to find any that are small enough for dolls :(
I second this question! I too want to find a small curler for my dolls but can't.
Hi to you both!! Hope both of you get a notification for this answer!! They're perm rollers for human hair! They come in a bunch of different colors and sizes, also even smaller ones or even bigger ones.

It's loose hair strands I wrapped. You can also use rainbow ribbons though, I found some of those at a local crafts store.

Well, wish me luck I'm following your tutorials for Sunny and Krystal tonight. They're the only RH girls I have so far and it just feels like their hair is missing a little life out of the box... I hope I have the stamina to put Crystal's hair around these mini straws! If you happen to see this, how long did you leave there hair in curlers? Thank you for sharing these hairstyling videos! 💕
I leave them in for about a day, which gives a temporary curl (I love to restyle and curl the hair in many different ways). If you prefer a more permanent curl, you can dip the head in hot water with the curlers in

I have ordered Violet and Ruby from Germany's Amazon, and I'm waiting them for centuries... (I'm from Serbia)
Next on my list are Poppy and Jade. I hope I collect them all, but they are too expensive - something about little less then 70€ per doll with the shipping. :'(

That is weird with the colors on the bottom of your box. I have them all. An all of mine the colors match up. You might of a rare box. Keep it for sure. Plus I love your videos! Stay safe!
That's so strange!! I did Google search for pictures of the Rainbow High girls, and on the promotional picture of Violets box, the colors don't match up either!
