Your ability to teach the why, for every step and in real time, is bad ass! 🙏

I first learnt that mount escape with your content here on the net, and since that, ive never more tried to escape bridgeing to end on their closed guard, because (for me), for a half guard player that likes to trap and lock on the half guard constantly, end up on their closed guard really sucks. To know that now being mounted its no more the end of the line like before but just another position that will add another layer to my game its truly a game changer. Its ridiculous how your content its evolving the Jiu Jitsu of others and even saving people of quit the art. Keep it up sir. Much respect.

Another thought - on this video , that big step out to the side with the left leg, prior to pushing their knee over your thigh - that makes total sense because you are essentially making your thigh more perpendicular to the line that their knee will travel . That means that the line of knee travel for them will only be the distance from the front of your thigh to the rear of your thigh, rather than a longer line of travel running more along the length of your thigh if your leg was less perpendicular. The less distance their knee has to travel, all other things being equal, the better for you

THANK YOU ! Love the detail about the wide lateral swing out with the left leg before sliding their knee over your thigh. Also love the detail about , initially , not getting your elbow too deep into their inner thigh/ knee so that they can just move forward past it and go for triangle stuff . Just a really excellent video on the details . Keep them coming. Honestly, some the THE very best info on TH-cam for Jiu Jitsu

what's up, Long Island! Getting crushed is part of the game early on. But the quicker you learn to deal with it, the quicker you'll be able to start putting some offense together. I have a free course that is literally called "How to Stop Getting Crushed." If you are interested it's at www.nogihelper.com

So, again, I don’t come from a 10th Planet Gym, so lockdown is something I kind of started doing on my own. Being kind of a novice to lockdown stuff, I have mainly used it against great big people just simply to move them a little bit south , away from my neck , away from the suffocation spot on my chest , so I can breathe again sometimes. It has been very useful for that . But I am looking to get better at the whip out or whip up techniques that I am picking up on your videos. What I am gathering so far is that the whip out or whip up techniques seem to be mainly a combo of alternating between bringing my knees to my chest and then extending , and maybe back and forth with those moves, all the while looking to make them post with an arm so I can get under hooks and get to my side. Is this correct ?
