I disagree. Some questions intentionally criticized the opponent him thinking he's somewhat better.
2:29 You don't know how much that means! A native German struggling with the correct conjugation, and the other native telling him she does not know either. As a student that means it is natural to make mistakes, and German lives up to its reputation of being a complex language to learn.

Well it’s a pretty common daily life situation here people struggling with the correct form of irregular verbs or subjunctive 1 and 2

Konjunktiv ii is either "ich gewänne" or "ich gewönne". Maybe tha's why he got mixed up. Just googled it. German is pretty hard :')

Ja, Stimmt aber es ist nicht nur die Qualität wichtig. Die Bequemlichkeit ist auch wichtig. Und ich glaube, für Janus war nicht sehr bequem mit diesem Handy zu aufnehmen. Wir haben Dinge auch unsere Leben bequemer zu machen-

Es kommt darauf, wie das Leben aussehen. Was bedeutet das Leben eigentlich. Ich bin weder minimalistin noch luxus. Fruher war ich minimalistin, weil ich mit geringen einkommen leben hatte. Im laufen der zeit hat mein lebenstill ganz geandert. Ich brauche nicht sogar viel, zu besitzen. Sondern ich kann alle besitzen, was ich auf jeden falls benotige. Egal die kosten!!

I didn't chose the minimalist life, but somehow I became minimalist after moving to five cities during two years, however I like to have my own things and different options so I think minimalism is not always possible

To be a minimalist, it is a good way of life, especially nowadays, in the world when a lot of us have everything that we want and at the same time, the rest of people do not have even basic things to live like water or food...
We should choose and buy wisely.

It helps when you grown up in a household with many kids and one income earning parent. Kids share stuff like clothes, bicycles, toys. Hand me downs rule! Mom and dad repair things so they last. And that attitude passes to the next generation. You really don't NEED all those things you WANT..

Having seen the first two amazing interviews Manuel did with two "minimalist" kids, I cannot help but wonder what spell German (or rather Berliner) parents put on their children and make them "minimalists." It is certainly not a thing you would easily come across in other part of the world. Maybe you guys could make an episode on the German Kindererziehung? lol
Yun-Chan Wu I don’t know, it’s the same for the most part here in Portland, OR, in the United States, so it really depends on the culture of the city. I’ve heard Berlin is very much like Portland, and many parents here also have children who strive to be minimalists rather than collecting too many unnecessary toys and belongings. My daughter for example has had so many various items and toys over the years, but she generally goes through her old belongings to donate them or give them away periodically. She’s also noticed that many of them become “boring” quickly, as the one child in the video said, and tries to keep a few really interesting toys and activities around instead.
A matter of perspective and cultural context. Isn't that a lot of people put their childred through learning to be a consumerist? ;) Kids tend to be the best examples of showing how one can use close to everything as a toy. It doesn't have to be a product ''made for children to play', they enjoy playing with pots, spoons, fillows, etc., especially, from early days. Colours, different textures, sounds, posibility to connect and build most days is the key.

Ich war einmal ein Minimalist. Oder zumindest, war ich viel ähnlicher, als ich jetzt bin. Ich vermisse diese Zeit. Es war einfacher und glücklicher.

Schönes Thema und interessante Interviews! Danke. Ich bin in meiner Vorstellung und im Herz Minimalistin aber ich besitze immer noch mehr als ich möchte. Ich habe Marie Kondos wunderbares Buch gelesen und arbeite langsam daran, Minimalistin zu werden. Es ist leider viel schwerer, Sachen loszuwerden, als sie anzuhäufen.
Die idee war gut, die viedo auch. Viel Glück für deine Weltreise Manuel.

Ich habe dir erste mal gesehen, Manuel. Es ist ein sehr wichtiges Thema und sehr gutes Video. Ich bin Minimalist. Ich mag einfachheit zum Essen und Kleidung. Und mochte ich viel zu reisen.

Bravo! Minimalism is the way to go. When I get the feeling my home is becoming cluttered, my first instinct is to sell, sell, give, give, and toss the rest in a charity bin. Things, stuff, junk, clutter, (especially tchotchkes!), it all overwhelms my brain. I don't even have a junk drawer (which I understand most people do). So yeah. Three cheers for Manuel and minimalism! :-) -Phill, Las Vegas

Manuel spricht gut, ich kann fast jedes Wort verstehen.
I'm also a minimalist! And kind of a "priest" too! It's so pratical... you can clean better, don't need to move furniture around, separate clothes for washing, find cd's, etc etc. It's just win win win. It actually reduces the stress and workload in life! I'm so glad I embraced that philosophy. Anyway, love to Germany from Portugal :) If we could solve the economic problems in the EU everything would be awesome, I'm crossing fingers.

Wie immer ein wunderbares Video! Sehr gut gedreht! Und wie die anderen schon gesagt haben, ich auch war total überrascht, als ich herausfand, dass das Video mit bloß einem Handy gedreht wurde. Die Qualität ist immer noch da. Und jetzt, dass Manuel etwas gesagt hat, kann ich auch ein bisschen von der Stimme merken, dass die Tonqualität vielleicht nicht so hoch ist, aber ja... hätte er nichts gesagt... :p
Ich kann ein der Mädchen nachvollziehen (ist das richtig benutzt?), da ich auch aus der Not ein Minimalist bin. Ich verdiene nicht so viel Geld, ich ziehe mich ganz oft um, und Reisen macht mir Spaß, deswegen gebe ich mein schwer verdientes Geld für das Reisen, die AirBnBs, und Tours aus, und nicht für Dinge (obwohl... ich kaufe immer noch zu viele Bücher, wenn ich im Ausland bin, und jetzt gelingt es mir nicht, die Bücher in mein Bücherregal zu stecken lol)

Ich versuche auf jeden Fall für immer zu minimalisieren. Wir können ohne viele Dingen leben. Wir verschwenden viele Sache und verwenden übermäßig. Man muss als Mensch darüber nachdenken, dass sie aus Natur kommen. Wegen der Aufopferung der Natur könne wir gemütlich leben. Außerdem muss man bewusst sein und darf nie vergessen, dass viele Lebens bzw Tiere und Menschen unter Hunger und Durst leiden.
Danke für dieser Thema, ich werde minimalistisch seit 2 Jahren, ich hatte viele Sachen, aber reduziert ich jeder Zeit und jetzt habe ich gutes Gefühl darüber. Ich würde sagen, ich bin Minimalistin mit der Seele der Zigeunerin ( Gypsy Soul)

ich mag das Video! Ich hatte mal eine Folge gesehen, die er in Münster gedreht hat. Ich fand Manus Sprachenart(?) ganz interessant und Cool!!
Ich bin auch Minimalistin genauso wie Manuel. Ich besitze nicht viele Dinge und immer versuche davon loswerden (wie idee fixe). Ich mache ebenso mit Menschen und Arbeiten in meinem Leben auch. Sozusagen moechte ich nicht von etwas abhaengig sein. Jedoch glaube ich, dass es toll ist, wenn man vintage/retro Sachen, Kunst, Klamotten sammelt...

Es ist besser, wenig, aber guter Qualitaet zu kaufen, als viel schlechter Qualitaet. Dies ist mein Prinzip und ich bin Minimalistin.
