It tries to follow the same impossible to understand story without adding everything else that makes it addictive to watch. boredom incarnate watching the sequels.

Why tf has no one ever told me about this show, and why am I only finding out about it through an extremely well made AMV? After watching this before (in which this caused me to actually find and watch the show) and after, I got 2 completely different emotions. Before I thought this just looked like a really cool and well made show, but after watching it’s just a feeling of emptiness and longing for a part of my life I never got to live out. All I could correct is more about polishing edges rather than just simple mistakes, like imo "FLCL is more than /just/ an anime" is better, same goes for "that caused /so/ many different feelings in me", and I think it's "appeared" and not "appear". Finally I think "/Still/ learning yet", sounds better than "Learning yet"

@@skeltal975 I think they're talking about Gainax, the studio that animated FLCL, who are the animators for other legendary anime such as NGE and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, however when Gainax was shut down, a large percentage of the workers actually went and formed Studio Trigger, so it wasn't that unlucky for the creators

Somehow I had the CD of FLCL and watched it several times like 6-7 years ago. Now that I'm 17 I think I can watch it again to try to understand what I couldn't then.
I had never been born to experience old anime animation but after my mother recommended me to full metal alchemist and cowboy bebop I'm starting to really and I mean REALLY enjoy it. This amv showed me fooly cooly and I have to say its incredibly captivating

I have all these mixed memories of FLCL because i saw it while it aired on adult swim at like 11pm back in 2004-2006 and i dont remember thr TV dude but i do remember the alien chick with the bass guitar and a kid that had some kind of monster hand that would grow out of his head. Supposedly it's a metaphor for puberty but as a 8-10 year old at the timr iust remember feeling extremely odd trying to rap my head around it.
