We have that EXACT ceiling fan and we taped a lazer pointer to it and made my dogs all spin at once, it was like a doggy ballet.

I'd tape a string to my ceiling fan for my cat to play with, but it's above the dining table, and I don't let my cat up there, nor do I feel like moving furniture.
You should put a bunch of strings on every blade and film the results.

That is some great cat footage! It reminds me of another video where cat actually manages to snag the string in a similar situation, though, and it winds up getting whipped around and then launched into a wall.

Yes, but the first cat was trying a little too hard and getting dizzy. The white and black cat seemed to know what to do and then the first cat seemed to follow suit. Lol. However, I would turn the fan on, stop it after a couple of minutes, etc. I wouldn't just turn on the fan and leave the house, that's looking for trouble and we know how good some cats are at getting into trouble when left alone. It IS a good idea, provided there is someone mature enough to supervise the action.
