This is gorgeous. I'm doing some work on translations of musical theatre into and out of a number of languages, and pondering which translates better into which. German and French are big problem into English as they use a lot more words per thought than it does and translate rather badly in musical songs I am coming across. It seems to work perfectly the other way round and if the words needed in both languages can be fitted into the melody provides. I also spotted that German has a sentence structure very like Shakespearian English and wondered how that sort of translation would work. If this is anything to go by it must all sound beautiful and work very well. Thanks for adding to my education in this very interesting field of study!
