For my 18th birthday I decided to have a party, I invited two of my closest friends who both knew how long I had been looking forward to my 18th, especially since I never truly had proper birthday celebrations throughout my child/teen years. I drank almost three bottles of alcohol to myself that day/night. Don't know if that's sad or impressive.

this rlly brings me back to when I was a kid, I didn't have any friends so I would end up making fake friends without even realizing it. this song reminds me of my life in general, ive always tried to fit in with others, change everything about me & be an extreme people pleaser but no one ever gave me any notice or even saw how much i changed. they always saw the same weak me who was ugly and unattractive. i used to invite everyone to my birthday parties but they'd always pretend they were coming and in the end ditched last minute, leaving my hopes dead. now whenever i have a birthday i have to act great and happy knowing no one ever will show up for me , all i am is js someone whos there not someone whos loved or have anything that will fit a standard lol. u can tell im tired of ts !

Back when I was 12 I decided to have a party with the 47 ppl in my class, I wasn't very talkative and didn't have a way to communicate with them so 1 month before the party I printed 47 invitations and gave everyone 1 on our annual field trip.
That Day, 2 ppl came, my best friend and the only one who would talk to me + lives a walk away ddint show even when I called her. I was so embarrassed i didn't try to celebrate or tell anyone about my birthday for the next 6 years, I could tell my parents were uncomfortable too.
This story does have a happy ending though! On my 18th I decided to try again with 16 ppl in total in class. You would not believe my relief and happiness when all of them showed up.
The good ending is 🎉

Basically what happened was last year on my birthday, I was on a holiday to go to my cousins as an early birthday ‘gift’ so I wouldn’t get any presents on my birthday.
Once it was my birthday, everyone forgot my birthday (probs because I was sick) even my FAMILY. I was crying the whole day cuz no one celebrated my birthday and I had no birthday cake.

Eu já estava achando que ninguém se importava comigo ent eu pensei em desistir, mas eu fiquei esperando mais e mais, e do nada surgiu até gente que eu nem tinha convidado 😂😂😂😂😂 as pessoas que eu nem tinha chamado pra festa estavam passeando pela rua e viram a minha festa e decidiram entrar tbm 😂😂😂😂😂 mas eu nem liguei eu só queria que todo mundo se divertisse!!!! I remember one time I think it was my eighth birthday. I was having a pool party at my Grandma's house cause she has a pool and I sent out invitations to a bunch of people and no one showed up about my family, and everybody just said that it was a really hot day and it was a bad day to celebrate my birthday.
Invited about six or so, two showed up, one stayed at least.

i can sadly relate to this song, so it was my 9th or 10th birthday (cant remember) and i had invited like 20 of my friends and NONE of them came the only ppl that came were my big sister and her boyfriend and i was crying like crazy that night, so uhh yeah
That's why I don't have any friends. I used to have a few, and when I was a kid and a teenager, I tried to throw parties, but only one person came the first time, and the second time. My friends would not even congratulate me on the phone, although I always congratulate them and came to their parties. Over time, I realised that none of them needed me, so I have no friends now. Think about it, if your friends ignore you year after year, maybe they are not your friends? My advice to you is not to waste any time with them, they are just useless.

I remember when the school year ended they gave us a book with all the pictures we had taken at school, and at the end of it, there where countless pages of so many pictures that the parents gave to the teachers to put there, they were pictures from birthday parties and things like that, and i was in none of them .. literally none.. and they all acted like nothing had happened, i never knew about all of these, thank god i am not friends with any of them, unfortunately we are in the same class tho..they had done so many bad things to me.. and they were all just toxic.. but i always forgave them 🥺🙄

I felt this each year when i throw a party my limit of people is i think 8 people and no one shows up except 2 people every year only 2 or 1 person shows up then of course the rest is my family it still hurts that barley an other kid show up except 2 or 1 of my friends
My birthday is a little under 2 months away and I hope the few people I invite show up. I don't have many friends,I mostly talk to my girlfriend. I get left out a lot which I'm used to but still, I hope they show up

Honestly, this made me remember that one time when it was my birthday and it was pretty dull and empty with a small amount of people. I only two presents, one from my relative, and one from my friend. And when it was one of my cousin's birthday in the same year, she had a really bright one. And a big amount of presents from my aunt and other relatives. Like, they were talking a lot about her birthday. And i know it may seem selfish but, i was honestly jealous of how many attention she got, left me feeling a bit upset.
Yeah, i know it's selfish but it's sad for me atleast. Her birthday had more joyful expressions while mine are a bit dull, only got joyful reactions ftom my friends though, so that was nice atleast 👌
