My dad also discovered this underpass back in 2015 while jogging along ECP.He was trying to go over to the other side and thought that Underpass 10 was the right one.When he got to the other side,he said that there was an old man sleeping and that the underpass looked very different compared to this video.He said it was partially overgrown with weeds and plants and it made the place feel haunted.

Thanks, though I have to admit that this content is really not sustainable and one day I will run out. any place like these in my videos are really hard to find first off plus many places are "protected" so there are limitations on what can be filmed here in sg. I had problems with authorities before on what I took videos off, but thanks for the comment.

back in the 1990s, when i was 15 years young, my 3 friends and i used to go to this tunnel to get across to a bus stop nearby after a night out at East Coast Park. it was around 5 am and when we were in that tunnel. we smelled something fragrant like a flower. it started out mild but it turned stronger as we walked further in. the atmosphere was strange too. it felt heavy and chilly. we can only recite our prayer for protection and felt relieved as we reached to the other end. after that incident, i swear not to go there and use the underpass again.

This is precious history and one of the last 1980s styled underpasses left in Singapore as the others have been upgraded and lost the vibe. There is no need to shut this one or renovate it because not many use it, so there is no point anyways. A nation that destroys its national heritage destroys itself. The nation that destroys its own historic legacy, is killing its very own soul. By advocating the facelift you are further denying the younger singaporeans a chance to see what underpasses in singapore used to look like in the 80s with their own eyes. We already had enough history erased to upkeep with the modern nation appearance, we don't need more history to be destroyed.
