I’ve had both and I much prefer the impulse but that’s really going to depend on play style tuning 6or7 string etc. i find the impulses do amazing for low tuned 7 drop F# etc the silos also did a solid job just a bit differently the output or volume on the silo is wild and they have great tracking note separation etc it’s a close call
How do these stack up to the warpigs? Im thinking about these, the juggs, the rags or the warpigs. The pickups will be going into a 7 string with a maple top mahogany body 26.5 scale stainless steel frets and only one volume knob no tone. I am looking for something that cuts nicley in the mids with a good amount of low end without sounding to woofy. I have played active pickups for 20 years and want to go passive now. Things im looking for is a good amount of harmonic richness, good saturation without sounding too scooped or messy. The aftermaths sound good but they seem almost to hot like they have alot of sizzle and treble to them so that being said something a bit smoother. I play alot of pinch harmonics and want something with high output. Also, if it helps im tuned to G# so low but definitely not the lowest like this pickup is advertised for.
This is possibly the ideal pickup for you if you are after something that has a nice balance of mids but still very tight in the low end. This pickup was made with low tunings in mind as it handles the low end ridiculously well! The warpig has a much brighter top end than the impulse in my experience, impulses do still have a good amount of bite to them in the top end but I don't find it too harsh when playing, and if you had a tone control and had them as covered pickups then this would smooth out the top end for you a little bit more too!
Black Hawks are a little brighter (especially the ceramic option) and have a bit more presence in the mids, where the Impulse is on the verge of being scooped in the midrange
Feeling the urge to make an impulse buy
James never fails to impress!! 🎸
I have them instaled on a 7 strings soapbar, Droped F# and they respond amazingly.
Wow! Increíble ! Saludos desde Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Okay now do more demos like this for the rest of the catalog.
Beautiful
I have the six string set in a Schecter PT Apocalypse, and they are perfect for that in C with 12-60 strings
Tones on point as always.
Pickups sound awesome but damn…what’s the name of the song? I have to add it to my playlist
I love the sound of the neck here. Are you using the inner or outer coils here, when the pickups are split?
Guys I'm hesitating between the impulse set and the silo set, two different style but I can't decide right now! what are your thoughts on them?

Oh I’m so buying this set
What kind of guitar is this ? Sounds so good.
It's a Mayones Duvell
Holy fck
I wonder how this sounds compared to the blackhawks..

Great sounding set but aesthetically too modern looking. Wont fit the look of all guitars
Bare Knuckle usually change the pup covers free of charge, I sent mine in and they changed it, no probs
You can go for a no-holes cover too which hides the blades.
