Anytime you see Joe's name on a musical event, you know it is going to be one hell of an incredible experience! He is master class material every step of the way!!
Joe is THE last guitar hero and me being British, I'm so grateful for his affinity for British Blues heritage. This album sounds gorgeous throughout. He has become the authority on tone and that expertise is fully evidenced on this record. I highly recommend supporting this classy shredder.
How’s this for an old man.......84 & I’ve been to Joe B’s concerts twice - once in Phoenix & the 2nd time @ the Red Rocks! I’ve been a blues fan since I was a 13 yr old boy growing up in Illinois, just north of St. Louis when I used to listen to my AM radio (no FM then) & the black blues stations! Btw - I’m a white guy
And I am 79....first concert in ‘59.. Eugene, Or., Jerry Lee Lewis, last in Eugene’s Hult Center, 10-16-17 JOE BONAMASSA! No way I could list here all I’ve seen! Joe & Band BEST EVER!!!!!! Rock on!!!!!!!
I'm 70, and with you on that. Most fun I've had in years was catching 3 of Joe's gigs in a row. Sometime you can close your eyes and hear a little Jethro Tull in this one. Great stuff.
Joe has been a blues rock funk fusion guitar phenom for so long - I honestly think sometimes comparison suffers because he's had such a high bar set for so long - but what I love is how he tries different things and really works on songcraft. Early on, he would write a few songs and do a bunch of blues covers, and it was awesome because we were all itching for those insane blues solo chops, but I always loved the few originals, too. He really found his writing voice on John Henry, and keeps refining it. He's also so prolific that it can be hard to stay excited about new material, but when I stop and pay attention, I always end up loving the music. Joe, you're a consummate pro, and this song is fire. Love it. Keep making music, my friend. What a fun track, I can't wait for the record.
Well said both Danny and The Watcher.. I found Joe less than 10 years ago.. I was like.. wtf.. who is that playing.. and after that.. it has been some journey.. seen Joe live 3 times now... there will be more.. god I love his music.. those awesome musicians he has gathered around him.. his work attitude.. just everything.. and that guitaring he delivers is just something unique.. out of this world.. I guess I try to say I kinda like him :)
Mercy he's bending and chugging the hound of that fret board. creating different sounds.im back Joe,listening to you never board of a soaring musical genuis
Well said, Danny. Just when you think you've got the song (plot) figured out it spins you in a whole new direction and you're always off and running. This song satisfies deeply in every detail and makes you excited to listen for what is coming next.
Spot on Danny. That was really well said. I'll never understand the Joe haters. He's such a consummate pro, always looking for ways to grow and evolve. He's obviously a ridiculously talented musician and such a gracious, humble guy on top of all that. He just seems like such a nice guy who's always ready to poke fun at himself and take it all in stride. What's not to like??
Danny, it's safe to assume those who comment about Joe's ability don't even play guitar and if they do, they'll never be known for it. He is as good as anybody I have heard or seen in my 50 plus years and the fact he is also very humble, makes him quite unique in his line of work. Laugh at the negative comments as they're generally some angry loner projecting his thoughts.
The critics that label JB as "boring" or "just another blues player" do not listen songs like this! Incredible stuff!! EPIC song! His guitar work goes w/o saying but he should get more recognition for his songwriting and singing. Fucking great song!!!
I’m speechless. Yes, I hear influences from other sings, but as always, Joe takes the music to another level. His continuing growth and maturity, as well as his willingness to explore different directions with his music, is so refreshing. With such a talented producer in Kevin, and his band mates, I think they all push each other to levels they couldn’t do alone. Well done!
Oh my God this song is amazing, wow Joe you always left me surprised but this time I didn’t see this coming, so heavy! Can’t wait to buy and hear your new album.
OK, I've been a Joe fan for well over a decade, follow him on social media....How the HELL did I miss everything about this album until today?????? I get what some people are saying about the new "direction," but I am LOVING what I hear so far. This song is simply incredible.
The first section was amazing and very emotional and then ... ... I said out loud: "Go Joe" and you exploded into a level of energy that can only be called "The Bonamassa Effect". The wrap was so perfect and YES this could and should be a "Bond" tune :-) Thanks, Team Joe for another level of musical expression!
Splendid first song for Royal Tea - probably my favourite studio album by JB. I was really impressed.... I love the progressive feel of that track, it reminds me of the best Led Zeppelin with some orchestral leanings. Hats off, Joe ! And the vocals get better and better.
Don't think there is a better blues rock artist on the planet. The whole package, live, studio and everything in-between. Cracking team behind him and the bar just keeps getting higher 👏
Love the change Joe...................just got the album today...............and it’s fantastic..................Great that you came here and made it in England too.
A masterpiece. right there with Ballad of John Henry. listen to the end of the solo, I hear Tony Iommi blues influenced riffs. so awesome. And that outro with the 1 verse. just perferction. Great songs still come along every npw & then. Royal Tea is Joe's best album of his catalog, must be something that permeates in that studio.
Depending on people’s personal music history, I notice they hear different things in an artist’s work. I enjoyed the band’s reflection of Maurice Ravel’s 1928 classical composition Bolero starting @ 3:55 (which Jeff Beck had introduced to the rock music world in 1966). And on a different note, I seem to hear something of “The Future” by Leonard Cohen, though the songs are not similar at all…and have no relation to each other whatsoever. Just a small bit of my own music history.
This song is about as fresh a sound as I've heard in YEARS. I heard overtones of classic rock, southern rock, blues, soul, and even a lead line worth of Green Day... what?! It's musical madness of highest order and it actually works! Absolutely genius, fantastic, and all the sudden I am waiting for the new album eagerly.
Good God !!! I missed the premiere, it's all because of FB, I was waiting there, but FB joked a little...BUT, I just discovered a new one Rare Gemstone , I LOVE THIS SONG !!! It's ABSOLUTELY GRRREAT !!!!
Good lord how good this is.. have really waited and bang ! There it was.. a new single.. and loving this songlonger so very much.. was totally surprised how it changed and grew... incredible song :)

I'm having a hard time writing how I feel about this song because my face has been melted!!!! That was amazing!!
I loved that tune. I love how it builds in the first half, then explodes in the second half, then mellows at the end. Fantastic, Joe.
Kinda like life
❤
Killer simple riff aswell
This is, by far, one of his best songs ever. I'm blown away.
Good stuff manerd
a trip back into the 70ties ooh yeah it's a good feeling for an old man like me

It’s like taking baby for a ride again, after 59 years. Oh so cool!
This man is reinventing hisself again and again. Another killer track, gets me down on my knees!
spot on...look how many chapters styles Neil Young had...blugrass, hard rock, country...even a brief stint in electronica..Joe B is epic!
Yes have to bow to the man!!!
Sounds to me something pink floyd would do love it 🥰
I'm absolutely obsessed with this song. I love the new direction and cannot wait for the rest of the album!
4th time in a row for me I'm obsessed
I'm learning it now on my tele. So cool!!

The finest musician alive today!!!!!
I must agree :)
Also one of the hardest working musicians .😷👊🎸🎸🎸 No stopping Joe Mr. B.
I would love to see it in person
Amazing and interesting just listening three times in a row
I do agree. JB and Gary Moore are the greatest modern bluesman there is. Si wish gary was alive to maybe play with him :(
The new Bond-Song? No? Why not? Its perfect!
I was actually thinking the same thing!
I agree!
Your right there, it sounds so bond.
Now that I've read this, I can't imagine any other way! Perfect fit \m/
Certainly prefer this over Billie Eilish's Bond theme!
This song is a masterpiece. The lyrics mean so much to me. The melody is fantastic and Reese Wynans is the greatest keabord master
Joe’s vocals are really great! ❤️.¸¸.☆
Getting better all the time!
You can definitely hear the work he’s put into it!
Yes! Love that comment ❤☺
Yes! Love that you wrote that
Hello my dear Lou! Happy Independence Day to You!!!! My BEST WISHES to You my dear friend!!!!!! 🌷💖🌹💗🌷💓🌹Hugs!!!! 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥

This is how life is.. what blues is about.. he makes it fabulous. . One of the best guitarist ever!
Amazing symfonic blues ending in a Deep Purple groove... Terrific!
You nailed it
Listening for the third time. It does sound British. The beginning gives me goosebumps... You do not get bored at each and every second. Thank you!
I actually hear a few notes from "Sloe Gin"
How does it sound ‘British’ ? Is it coz there is pictures of London?
Супер . очень здорово.умичка
it's a perfect synchronization between power and feeling. Great Bonamassa and all his team.
Didn't know much about Joe Bonamassa but my old man likes his stuff. This has won me over. Best song I've heard in a long time, love it.
The ballad at the end is beautiful.
Классическое исполнение , и откуда только столько фантазии в его голове? Супер! Спасибо Joe.
The riff right after the "bolero" sounds almost Muse-esque!!! Love it. This album is shaping up to be one of Joe's best!!!
...Joe Bonamassa has done it again..very different, very wow..he is amazing..got a bit of sabbath going on there for a minute🤓🧡👍
Twin 🌷 💗 🍀 💖 🌼🤗

Simply Amazing as always Joe!!! Thank you for continually rocking our socks off!

Incredible! Love the evolution. The songwriting here is incredible.
What is the philosophical meaning in the words of the song. So much intelligence in a small text, a lifetime. I have no words. God bless you JOE!😘🙏🥰
PERFECT... Bravo and Bravisimo... Special and Different Song... Extraordinary Interpretation...
Can’t wait to hear the whole album
OK, I've been a Joe fan for well over a decade, follow him on social media....How the HELL did I miss everything about this album until today?????? I get what some people are saying about the new "direction," but I am LOVING what I hear so far. This song is simply incredible.

Поражает как из него мелодии сыпятся как из рога изобилия.
There's no words. Perfection. There's one

You mean the Child In Time part? :-)
Thank you for your take Lou. I'm now inspired to do some research.
Oh I LOVE this new song... it’s like being along on a beautiful exciting journey.
Very well could be a Bond song too.🥇
A great song! The whole album is brilliant!

Great song. Great songwriting here. Great guitar work. This one is song writing at its best.
Good lord how good this is.. have really waited and bang ! There it was.. a new single.. and loving this songlonger so very much.. was totally surprised how it changed and grew... incredible song :)
I would love to hear more of Joe backed by an Orchestra. It would sound really great!
Perfect! Jozef is a guitar master with a sensitive voice.
Great. Amazing Bonamassa. He mixed different styles of heavy metal bands in the sixties and seventies. Wonderful.
Buenísimo ,excelente!!!
Wow! Now that takes you on a journey! Love it!
What a sensuous riff! There seems to be this little hint of 70's King Crimson even. Wow!
That's such an amazing arrangement, thank you very much, just today, I play this song more than 10 times... 🎸😎😜
It's all I could hear in my head at work for the past three days since I first heard this.
I cant stop listening to this. I am hooked . this got to be the next BOND song
No falla!!!!. Como siempre genial e insuperable. Bravo Joe me alegras el día!!!🎸🎸👏👏👏👏👏

AMAZING...OUT OF THIS WORLD....
Fantastic scenery ha ha. Brilliant Abbey Road and obviously the new songs.
can't believe it. Stunning. Splendid. Ass kickin'.
Had I not seen the video title or name of the performer, I would NEVER have guessed it was Joe Bonamassa! Completely different style from his norm imo, but great just the same 👍❗️
Another fan favorite, I predict.
Phenomenal Joe! You did it again.
Very A Day In The Life-esque where it feels like 2 songs in 1. I love the way it goes from a gentle ballad into a stonking rocker! Love it!
It's excellent, thank you.
Ok...I was not expecting that. Was listening to the first half, chilling, had it picture in picture, looking around TH-cam, then about halfway through, it hit. My eyes wide, I put it back on full screen lol.
Great song!We love you Joe.Thank you for the new song.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
