I taught Dougie in high school and have a good picture of those bleachers. Such an affecting song, and for this late 70s HS grad, those mustachioed lips are totally uncanny. What a fantastic songwriter and singer!
This album came out right when I lost one of my good friends. A lot of the songs on this album deals with death and losing someone. It really helped me get through it. I don't know if you lost someone too Dougie but this album will always be one of my all time favorites.
Damn bro. A real deep song that, if I'm reading into it right, is about reminiscing on friends and loved one's who have passed. Beautiful song all around. Absolutely goin on my music playlist
I agree on the Springsteen, when he says "when you left I nearly had myself a nervous breakdown" on Bhuddist for a Couple Days, it sounds exactly like Bruce.
Quite the tease Dougie. Can't wait for the new album. Been a long time fan. Listen to you weekly. It's awesome to witness your growth within your voice and sound. And your lyrics are always top notch man. Bravo! The more I listen to this song the more I love it.
I liked this song as soon as I heard it but I kept listening to it and wondering what he was saying but never bothered to look it up (u know how it is). But I just saw him this week and it was amazing. I was tired and in a bad mood and he still won me over, all of em did. This song was so amazing I had to know what was being said and it just affected me so hard. This song is amazing and aw man I just love this. Top 10 song.
Holy crap, Dougie, how’d you get my yearbook? I’ve had this conversation with my husband and peers more often than I can count. What an incredibly poignant song.

I'm truly blown away by this track. Thanks, Dougie. Without music like this life would be a mistake.
Tears come right out, when this song gets going
Dougie you killed it with this one. Love everything about it.
These lyrics really got to me.
This is on another level. It pulls at my heartstrings and I tear up almost everytime I hear this gem. Poole is great!
Etched something into my soul. Absolutely love this. There is no ceiling for Poole
absolutely chilling. Heard Poole perform this song at the Otis Mountain Get Down. Seriously amazing music
Typically brilliant. I am always hearing Springsteen in my Poole. When's the new album out, Cat? xxxx

😞I feel so melancholy listening to this song along with kids pictured in the yearbook. This easily looks like my history. Life sure went by fast. 😩
I think it’s a wonderful song just the way it is. Would love to hear it with female vocals.
Great stuff, keep it up!

Nice song man, gives me a good feeling.
