LOL, Tevaughn Dixon, you better say that! In my days, I was considered the "Michael Jackson" of Gospel. I was 1st Soprano from age 5 to 13; then I broke my leg in church while singing as this fat lady fell on me (no lie, my history). Prior, I was on the church bus doing the wrong thing with some knuckle head, and God got tired of my mess. I became a "diva" in that I would stop the song in the middle of church service because the organist hit the wrong key, the choir was off key, or I just didn't feel like singing. Today, I long to sing again and cry every time because when I had the gift, God juxtaposed puberty took it away. Now, I can't even sing 2nd Tenor without my voice cracking. "Never Alone" by Walter Hawkins will always be my first love and signature song I sang in Mississippi, Michigan, Louisana, etc. as a child and pre-teen. Your statement brought out my church dissertation underpinnings...lol.
I love that young man voice , I hated when the lady on the front seat, had the director take the mick from him he could do the all song by his self. The director was in front of the baby with the black and white on that baby took my heart she had all the beats. and she was doing her thing.
