Honestly, it's definitely the personalities. Everyone can be super funny but really relatable at times, oddly enough, they don't feel fake and for the money like some streamers can be and i appreciate that.

So I can imagine something, and I can describe what I'm imagining, but there's no visual component to it. Took me a while to realise this wasn't a universal thing
I started watching VTubers over the summer because of Drumsy and MFC vids getting reccomended to me. Bimten, Sansin, and Nyxie hooked me. Honestly, voices have been the biggest reason I've been drawn to certain VTubers. Bimten, LaynaLazar, Sansin, Nyxie, AmaLee, and Sinder in particular. Bim is so distinct with her accent and she's so bubbly. It's infectious. San is very soothing. Listening to her is nice when I've been having to deal with drama at work. Layna can hit all of those things and I really appreciate how real she is. While there are some degens in every chat, I feel like these communities are much less toxic and generally more positive than other streamer communities. So many have great chats and are really great with their chats. Since I haven't mentioned them yet: Eden, Cerber, and Michi are super chat experiences. If you need a pick me up, Eden and Cerber are instant morale boosts. And Numi has some truly great original music. Manic has become one of my favorite songs. Her songs that have that proggy, almost Swancore vibe specifically. Katie's music is great, too. Love me some heavy music.
I watch a bunch of different Vtubers from all across the spectrum but what I gravitate to is what they do, their personality and if they can make me laugh. Ironmouse, Shylily and Layna are some of my favs, and I have been watching a lot of Indies lately like; Milky Mew, Rosiebellmoo and Aquwq_VT

I like vTubers. I like the barrier of anonymity that the avatar puts between the vTuber and the audience. I find it easier to engage with an anime character than the real faces of non-vTubers. I like many of the personalities in the space. I like that it's inclusive (most of the time). The artist in me loves the designs and aesthetics of certain vtubers, like low key Shoto has been a long time favorite because some of the clothes on his models looks like stuff I wear casually a lot. Personality is also a big thing for me because I gotta vibe if I'm going to stick around. There's gotta be something that keeps me watching and oddly enough, I vibe with a lot of the Phase Connect members as well as Kirsche. Which scares me sometimes.
cooking on a car engine by various methods has been a thing since at least the steam days, there's a lot of safe places to put food on an engine. plumbing a burger cooker into the exhaust is less a problem of contaminating the food and more a problem of restricting exhaust flow. these days most people who do it will throw a foil wrapped potato and some hot dogs on the intake runner, it gets hot enough from oil flow to cook most things.
Vtubers are awsome, I was a fleshtuber but very shy on stream. One day I saw a video of Nyanners and Ironmouse and was like what is this? And I fell down the rabbit hole and now I mainly watch Vtubers and becoming one myself has helped me break out of my shy bouble. I think that's what makes them amazing is anyone can be a vtuber and stream and have fun.
I like VTubers because they are fun and slightly unhinged. Their anonymity allows them to say things people wouldn't normally say because they would be judged. My personal favorite VTubers tend to have medical issues like Ironmouse, Vex, Alisha. I'm housebound by degenerative joint disease and can relate with a LOT of the things they go through. Ironmouse has particular effected me by showing me if she can do all the things she does there is no reason I can't either. So I to am slowly getting stronger moving towards being able to walk again, though I will need both knees and both hips replaced to do this.
I know you asked why but I love iron mouse why because of the fact she's talented a persevered through tons of health issues I wish I had a fraction of her talent

I am of the personal belief that by wearing a mask only then can you truly show the world who you are without fear. Weird i know but just hear me out, everyone is afraid of being judged and vtubing offer a medium to show your true self while protecting you anonymity.
