Oh Lynn what a frightening experience you had in the car park…..it’s good to know no one was seriously hurt……your car will be sorted and you’re ok which is the main thing. My eldest daughter has rugby ball shape eyes……it’s called an astigmatism, she was only three when we found out and she has worn glasses ever since, she did try contact lenses a couple of years ago but couldn’t get on with them. Hope all goes well with the heart monitor and of course your car 🥰
Yes it was Bethany, thank god no one got injured, and as you say, the main thing is that I was ok, the car will get fixed. I’d heard of astigmatism, but never rugby ball eye. I can’t get on with the reading glasses so I’m going to have varifocal lenses put in instead. At least I’ll have a spare pair then ❤️🌹❤️

So was I Carol. Yes the car park was a bit scary, but I’m fine and the car will fix. Well I think she is, inside and out, so thank you. Oh my word, you wouldn’t want to see my back garden Carol, it’s a right mess, it was supposed to be this years project, but we need a new bathroom, so it might have to wait till next year, we will see. I can show my kitchen though, no probs. I’m not risking it again, I’ll just buy a small Yeo, and use it for 2 batches. That way I know it works. It’s rained all day, but the sun has just come out ❤️

Loving your nails they are very classy, I used to have mine done every few weeks but because I have been decorating and gardening there's no point.I am useless at filing them so just got my daughter to file them this afternoon for me. Ready for my hols. Hope your monitor results are okay

To bad about your new car but at the end of the day you are ok thank goodness.That does happen a lot with automatic cars people getting mix up with the pedals my dad and brother have been in the car game all there lives it’s kept them very busy. I had a heart monitor fitted about 10 years ago. When I went back the doctor said you must be a very restless sleeper so obviously they do look at the whole of the 24hrs . They offered me Beta blockers I ask if I had to take them ,she said no it’s your choice so I said no. I’d always known my heart was funny as when I was 5 I broke my arm and they told my mum then said I may grow out of it but I never did. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 you get a good result. X❤
Yes absolutely Wendy. I don’t know when I’ll get the results, but it will just be my luck that my heart behaved itself while I was wearing the monitor lol. Years ago I was diagnosed with sinus arrhythmia, but nothing was ever done about it, so I’ve lived with it all these years, perhaps it’s something to do with that, who knows. Hopefully it won’t be long before I hear ❤️❤️❤️

Rugby ball eye? A defect on an otherwise perfect body…..shouldn’t be allowed! Plus a scratch on your new car! I do feel for the man involved, who knows what was the cause. No-one hurt but a traumatic time for people. It is easy to say older people should not drive but when you live in a village, with poor public transport, it is a lifeline. I try not to judge. It is a bother dealing with car insurance claims, all seems to drag on. Hope you don’t have to wait too long to hear about the heart monitor readings. Oh…the joys of age! I still haven’t had a look at any Ford Eco cars. Too busy with holidays I am overjoyed to say! Just wondering how I can lose perhaps three stone in three weeks before Crete. What rubbish I talk!xx Liz
Exactly Liz hahaha 🤣 oh it was traumatic, but we have to be grateful that he didn’t injure/kill someone. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked the same question, honestly, they write it down, someone else rings and asks the same grrrrr. I’ve spent hours on the phone. I’ve no idea how long it will take to hear the results, just have to wait. Oh how lovely, the car can wait for sure, more important things to do lol. I bet he’d got an automatic car. Seen it so many times. Worked at a supermarket for over 20 years and seen it many times. I want to change to auto because of arthritis but seen it so many times so I darent.

O thats really quick getting your specs. Around here i just collected my new ones (2x varifocals) after ordering them 2 weeks ago! I didnt know that glaucoma people get their glasses free - lenses only & i guess you pay for frames?
Yes, the main thing was that no one got hurt, cars can be fixed. Yes I payed for frames, but I can’t get on with the reading lenses, making me dizzy, so I’m going back, I’ll have varifocals put in. ❤️

So sorry about your car Lynn but glad no one was hurt, the whole thing sounds terrifying. I had the 24 hr heart monitor test done a few months ago for eptopic heart beats I'd been getting for months and I'm now on a low dose beta blocker to try for 3 months, it seems to have done the trick, so far so good. ❤Your nails are gorgeous, love the Waistcoat/ trousers co-ords your beautiful Joanne was checking out. What a carry on in Tesco car park. I remember a friend having an accident in supermarket car park and there was a problem as it was private property. Guess the police being there helps. Poor man, you certainly need your wits about you when driving, even in a car park. The number of times I see people reversing almost into each other. Love that little steamer. I got my first parcel from Temu, impressed with items. Ive got to take up a pair of ‘silky material’ trousers, by hand, no machine. Not looking forward to it. X❤
Oh I’m so thankful that the police were there, and my insurance are sorting it all out. I watch all the cars when I’m walking about, if someone starts their engine I move well away. Oh how exciting, I’m glad you liked your purchases. Perhaps use the wonder web, no sewing ❤️❤️❤️

Seeing your black trousers in that crinkly material reminded me of a funny incident. I'd gone to work in a pair of viscose crinkle trousers one hot summer day. Unfortunately as I came out of work in the evening the heavens opened and those trousers - eek - they contracted from a wide leg to skinny which is what happens when you wash that material! My family absolutely cracked up when I walked in like a drowned rat in the tightest pair of trousers they'd ever seen me in. Car parks can be so dangerous. In a local car park near me a chap overshot the designated walkway and hit a young woman in her 30s who was putting her toddler into her car on the other side. I know the family and that girl had to have her leg amputated from the knee down. Totally changed her life. We all need to be aware and accept when it's our time to stop driving!

I knew a lady who had one , come out of our local car park , she put her foot on the gas pedal instead of the foot brake . & ended up crashing into a house opposite . . But as you say , so lucky that no one was hurt .

I love my little car, and it gives me independence. Will keep driving as long as I feel comfortable doing so, and I'm in my late 70's.
Oh I’m okay I live 3 miles from the village and 6 miles from a shop ..but only 25 miles from town .. there’s a great bus service , though they can’t get to my house , but it’s only a mile to the main road so I always use it in winter .. I’m very fortunate to be so close to facilities

Hi Lynn quite the week,first thank goodness you all didn’t get hurt in the car park,and I hope the older gentleman is okay.Its easy for people to say he shouldn’t drive,but it’s independence for many,and the elderly have no where near as many accidents as the younger people do,I don’t drive anymore as parking is a terrible problem in NYC.On a fun note,I too have an astigmatism,I also have a prism on my lenses,so unfortunately they are expensive,I too have worn glasses for74 years,ever since I went to school,and the teachers told my Mother I couldn’t see.My Mother was one of 11 children,10 of which wore glasses,my Mother did not,but I guess she pasted that on to me😂

Pity about the lens’s Lynn. I’ve had them for years. I’ve also got cataracts and they’re getting worse. My old boy had one cataract done 3 weeks ago. The other one is next week. He can’t believe the difference. Omg. Lynn some people really shouldn’t be driving. I know some older folks have all their buttons but some really have slow reactions. Thank goodness nobody was hurt. ❤

What an eventful week, Love your nails, I must have missed you trying on the trousers you took up, so sad about the elderly man good luck with the heart monitor I had one a few years ago and it woke me up every hour when it was doing it’s thing I ended up taking it off about 4 am so that I could get some sleep. I got some really lovely bedding plants from home bargains last week. ❤️
Thank you Sandra, it is difficult to sleep with a monitor on, I got a couple of hours. Perhaps I went at a bad time, because they al looked like they were dying to me. I ended up with some very healthy ones from a couple of garden centres nearby ❤️❤️❤️

Oh how exciting Milly, a word of advice, if you buy the steamer, the plate stays hot for quite a while after you switch it off, so be careful with it. Oh lynn, your poor car. At least you weren't hurt. We had an incident last year at our local garden centre, when an elderly gentleman plunged into the side of the building. He was well into his 90's. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. But it could have been carnage 😮.
