  • Baseball diamonds at the professional and collegiate level are widely known for their field maintenance. From the seemingly always green and trimmed grass to the silky smooth infield sand, nothing is ever out of place. Well, that’s by design; the hardworking team at Mississippi State University teach us how perfection is achieved on this episode of our “Sports Dissected” series.
Sports Dissected brings you a look at sports from the inside out.

these people who take care of the fields are real behind-the-scene-experts. definitely part of why they brought home a baseball national championship. I am not from Mississippi, however, their Agriculture and forestry schools are renowned across the country. i wouldn't expect anything less and I am not surprised by the quality.

Great Video ! The turf grass industry needs more content like this on the internet to showcase the hard labor that goes into creating a consistent, safe, and beautiful playing surface. Barstool Sports''s "Behind the Greens: Winged Foot Golf Club" was great. I think it would be awesome for someone to do a docu-series in similar fashion on the collegiate level. Meet the staff that make game-days happen throughout the fall and spring.

@Rowdy Jr. absolutely nothing to do with "mainstream media bullshit with the cops" He was a talented 19yr old basketball player from the University of Kentucky. Projected 24th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Passed away after he crashed his vehicle in L.A. after a workout preparing for the NBA Draft on April 22nd, 2021. He did play his final game versus MS State though... for what it's worth as far any relevance to this particular video. Regardless, why knock someone for paying tribute to another.

Not anything even comes close to this one...double decker stands; fan friendly berns, the right and left field cooking areas, the four story left field condos, but the best I enjoyed on my visit was the ability to walk a 360 around the whole playing field regardless of what ticket price you paid. Good for people like me who do not like to sit for nine innings!
