As a cpap user considering jaw surgery for sleep apnea is it safe to use a nasal cpap mask in the event you still have breathing problems immediately following surgery .
You can’t use nasal cpap immediately after surgery because the mask would put too much pressure on the freshly operated jaws-face. And forced air would go through the nose and sinuses into your face/facial tissues and causes issues and infection.
