The "hobbyists" have basically destroyed the classical music business because too many professionals have given in. Now they play together in out-of-tune community orchestras because, after all, they LOVE music. So some of us are supposed to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in tuition in order to attend a world-leading conservatory just to play in a community orchestra and give people away valuable information for free? No...I don't think so.
