Great video! But, it won't prepare you for what an idiot is capable of doing when installing a car stereo. I just spent an HOUR trying to take an old Alpine stereo out of a car...I even had the right tools for the job. This is the FOURTH TH-cam video (out of FOUR videos) I watched to TRY to help me get that stereo out. But, it turned out, some moron decided to SCREW the stereo into the housing. I only found this out by taking the Dashboard apart. So, once again...I say: Great video! I'm sure it would have worked if the person that installed my stereo did it the right way.
Sorry if this sounds dumb but I’m new to car stuff. If my existent player is removable by clicking on a button, can I just attach a new one on the existing inner components or do I really have to take out the entire thing to replace it? Thank you
this may be good if your installing the same brand of stereo but those wires in the back come in different order from previous ones and you may need to rewire
i cant because the old radio i have the electric back clip is different then the new one it doesnt fit so i have to connect the one that came with the new one and idk how to connect all those colorful wires looks confusing
JerzeYxKinG this tutorial is horrible he just says take out the stereo and plugs and put a new one in, lol, bit late now but yeh unless you specifically buy a newer stereo that'll fit the same wire ports as the old one did you'll have to rewire the new one, which may be a little confusing but it's not too hard, it's just getting into the unit and getting the wires out that's a pain.
Useless as some stereos have different connection busses. That would mean o would have to do some rewiring, and that's a no go, and can't find any kind of converter. I guess new system is just going back.

It's cool but I think a car radio is unnessecary nowadays. So long as you have an AUX input and built in Bluetooth receiver, you can have it all from an cheap smartphone or MP3 player w/ Bluetooth transmitter adaptor. Even just 1 AUX input is enough and bridge with an AUX cable.... I think car radio is something from the 1980's that is super outdated lol
