James Comey made the same point in his book. He said that for all the time he was in the White House around Trump, he never saw the man laugh. He even went on TH-cam looking for clips of Trump laughing, and only managed to find one instance of Trump actually laughing.
The fact Trump doesn't laugh should actually be a concern. Laughing is how we show ourselves to be vulnerable, and that we are comfortable with that. In essence, it shows others that we don't take ourselves to seriously. Ironically, by not laughing that person is likely to be hypersensitive, and hence weak; unable to tolerate any jabs at them, lighthearted or otherwise. You can see Trump's hypersensitivity every time at his rallies he says the world is laughing at the United States.
Hard to disagree. Especially when his predecessor was a guy who laughed openly so much, even at himself. Obama's own jokes were sometimes meh but he is one of the best joke-getters and joke-takers I've ever seen

Both James Corden and Chris O'Dowd were in the 2010 verison of Gulliver's Travels. O'Dowd was Edward, the bad guy and Corden was Jinks, the king's assistant. I thought both men were great in the movie. They're even funnier together in real life.

Sure, when you are younger than 40 for example say a 20 year old, then yes they'll think that 40 seems old. But I can tell anyone who thinks it, just you wait till you actually hit & reach the age of 40, shit , will they think differently then, lol. Granted everyone is different but if you look after yourself then the only thing that changes is the amount of experience gained, along with extra maturity etc. Soon as you hit 40 you realise that
"Hey, I'm still young," and you feel the same as you did at 20 or 30. Things are different today than yesteryears, for example in the 1960's anyone over the age of 30yrs old was seen as 'past it', think of WW1 & WW2, 17,18,19 yr old lads went to fight in those wars and were classed as 'men', imagine how that would be today,
Imagine 17yr olds today having to go do that. Now I'm not spitting malice out at the younger generations but just pointing out that it's different today, because we no longer look at or class that age group to be
mature adult men the way they were back then, the same as years before when children had to work and help support the family, the notion of 'childhood' in our modern sense really is quite a new one. Basically by today's standard the age groups have skipped on ahead of where they had been in years before, which is why at age 40 today is still classed as young, but even so, if it wasn't classed as such, for me it still would do, because I know how I feel, /- and luckily how I look too, because on my 40th birthday I got asked for ID when buying a few beers from a local supermarket, I've always had it, which used to annoy me, but now I love it, & honestly dread the day that it stops lol.

I knew one once. She had a sudden, braying sort of laugh and by the time I'd worked out just how awful she was (and was making every attempt to get her out of my life) I'd also noticed that she always looked like she didn't know why she was laughing, and sort of faintly panicked. I think it was a social mask she was trying on to blend in but it was a poor fit.
I know it's unusual to have encountered one who is female, but she was the real deal. Nowhere near a position of leadership, though. Now THAT' idea's scary.

That's actually rather shocking. Someone in front of the cameras as much as Trump is, and nobody's seen him laughing. That's just creepy. I bet he snort-laughs, and is embarrassed about it. Or maybe a really high pitched giggle? Or one of those hee-haw horse laughs? Or maybe the guy is so insecure, that, given that he's not very bright, he always suspects that any joke might just be on him, and he's just not getting it. And so, he'd better not laugh, to avoid looking stupid.
