I want to personally apologize to Justin for hating on him for years because of the false narrative that the media have portrayed about him throughout his career. It's a life lesson to us all about judging a person by what others influences us to believe rather than our own experiences. So thank you to the Powells for officially introducing us to the real Justin Gatling

AA+. I can’t say how much I appreciate this interview.
If it wasn’t for the Powell podcast, us Jamaicans would not know Asafa had a voice.
He was very low key and quiet.
The rivalry was good for competition, but we took it to another level seeing USA athletes as public enemy #1 when they are competing with Jamaicans.
If Jamaicans are not in the race, I will cheer for the USA.
I am happy for Asafa and Justin to do this interview as mature men and break that stigma of the Jamaican- American rivalry. ❤

We need a part 2 of Gatlin here. And then we need Usain and Gatlin all on the same episode.

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Justin. Always thought of him as a fierce rival but that's always between Jamaica and the USA in track n field. Welcome Justin come again 🇯🇲❤️

Thank you Asafa and Alysha for this interview! 👏🏾👏🏾It’s so refreshing to hear from Justin Gatlin. Listening to him speak definitely changes my perception of his personality. I’m still going to root for Jamaican athletes any day over the USA!

Love to see channels like this and the one with Gatlin talking about the sprints and the stories we never heard because of the lack of cove4age here in the States.

So many gems 💎 dropped in this episode. I remember running track in high school in 2002 and being invited to a run at one the elite meets at university of Tennessee and the whispers of the Justin were still there. What she said was 1000 percent true , the legends should be invited to all the premier events especially since no one has filled the shoes of these guys. Love the content.

The truth is we gave Asafa a hard time as well. Non-athletes don’t take into consideration the pains and injuries athletes go through. I did not understand why he pulled up in so many races. It could have been three or ten. I don’t know. But just listening to his conversations on the podcast and TH-cam I have learned quite a lot. Much respect to both athletes.

I say that all the time, Asafa is reserve and observed his environment, he is also a people person. Real polite

This was an enlightening and enjoyable episode. Truly enjoyed it. The media would make you dislike people with their own spin. I'm glad that the discussion was made and so much misconceptions about people we know nothing about cleared. #teamjustinandasafa😅
