@@figa5567 its a bind you have to set. It was intended originally as an RP feature, your character will literally put away its weapons and this will cancel any animation youre currently doing other than dodging i believe
@@figa5567 you can cancel most of them just by queueing another skill tho. Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i think weapon stowing is used to cancel aftercast of channeled skills(which would be interrupted if you tried to queue up another skill) and some skills that have higher priorities than regular skills, like the ones having a defensive component built into them(Mesmer Sword 2 comes to mind) or healing skills.
I haven't played Guild Wars for a long time, I'm totally outdated but I really like to see the rotations, my Main was a firebrand, I was always in the damage tops in fractals and open world (I never played raid, I was more of a casual player), I have always liked your videos, every time I see one it makes me want to return, although at the moment I still have no money for the new expansion. Sorry for telling you my life, good touhou soundtrack anyway.
Yo I have been hellbent on playing power Willbender since eod came out. Please tell me it’s finally time. I want to make this work so badly. I don’t know why anet won’t buff the physical skills and offhand sword and make this power spec something more accessible for pve content
You can even do some open world with this build as it is, has extreme burst and AoE, decent mobility, condi cleanse and even pretty decent survavibility for a full Zerker build.
I love playing willbender and I dont take it to raids over my other classes because there are too many dashes in you rotation that can kill you if you dont pay attention for a couple of sec. For instance, I remember autotargetting golems at soulless horror killed me a couple of times through walls
I can't seem to get anywhere close to this. Granted my gear setup is slightly different (using runes of eagle cause I dislike thief for most content and power/precision food (gear balanced for this)), I have no might infusions and I don't think I'm doing stowing correctly, but I kinda doubt that makes up for the 12k dps loss (stowing may be 2-3k? .. the other stuff mb 1-2k). I have 1186 ferocity, 3675 power and 100% crit chance. Testing against golem I can mb hit 29k dps tops. That's with all boons up and all conditions on golem. With Sharpening stone and power/precision food (which I balanced my gear around). Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Any input would be appreciated. Edit: I sometimes use double sword instead of sword/focus, since I prefer the additional mobility of sword 5. In my testing it has barely made a difference.
It is really hard to give advice/feedback based on no log and especially in youtube comments. I'd suggest joining Snow Crows Help Desk in discord and asking there instead.
how much of an dps loss would it be to go battle presence.over permeating wrath and sprinkle in a f2 from time to time? given you can upkeep perma alac with phonix protocol without boon duration, means you would do a ae 650heal every 1.5s to 2s roughly
If it looks interesting, go for it. I wouldnt recommend this to someone completely new however, condi willbender or power dragonhunter might be better to start with, if guardian is the thing that looks neat.

the build is pretty easy to do: just swap to phoenix protocol and battel presence and you have an alac build ;) the rotation is a different story, though :/
No, what's special about willbender is that it's f3 generates insane aegis, and with the trait change last patch there is just no reason to play radiance with willbender
I think as long you need aegis for a guardian dps build its trash. Its not possible to keep up the aegis uptime in a real encounter. I would even say its still trash if u can reach 60k dps. I love Willbender rly much but the aegis trait is so pointless.

Its important to cancel the aftercast on GS4 so you get the cd ticking asap.

a question - do I need to take runes of the thief or can I take Scholar? If I am then lacking precision, which trinkets should I take?
With scholar you would have to swap a lot of stuff. Can use the gw2skills or discretize gear optimizer to figure it out.
Run eagle runes, swap assassin boots to assassin legs. Use Tin of fruitcake and butternut curry as util/food. Very minimal dps loss

Even at 70% aegis the estimate is like 40,5k. Can probably do rest of the math from that.

Hard to estimate, since switching off permeating wrath changes your cdr from F1.

If there is downside, it would be that its somewhat clunky to play and small amouny of dps relying on aegis.

Having Aegis vs not having Aegis is not that much of a difference now with the trait change, also your F3 generates Aegis whenever you need it.
F3 is crazy aegis uptime on Willbender unlike on DH so you are correct on DH but not on WB
