Thank you! I've been looking for a way to add multiple different tags to contacts before I import the spreadsheet into Mailchimp. I hadn't found any answers in the Mailchimp tutorials or help articles, but your video has exactly the info I was looking for. Thank you so much! - Bex
Thank you so much for this, I have been going around in cirecles trying to figure out how to do this without having to individually go through the contacts 1 by 1. Great explanaition, thanks
Marti, your videos are extremely helpful. We are planning in advance to switch over from a smaller email service to MC. Your tutorials have helped answer many of our questions about actual user experience, and how the program works on a day-to-day basis. Your careful approach, normal tone of voice and pace of speech, and visual demonstration of how each feature actually looks on screen are excellent. Thank you so much! :)
Gosh, This is why i love TH-cam. I can find videos for anything that i need help with, from personal projects to work related tasks. Thank you so much for your assistance.
Thanks, Marty. Great video. In your second scenario, I notice that your tags ended up being surrounded by quotes after your import (4:15). Is that ideal / optimal?
Great video, I found this because I'm having an issue with importing my list and my tags are getting added to all the contacts. I have 4 different tags I'm using but not every contact has all 4. Some might have one, some might have two, is there any way to stop this from happening? It appears the first contact gets imported correctly then the rest get all 4 tags added.
Have you tried adding tags via a spreadsheet/CSV (in the video, it's one of the options she shows). You create a column called "Tags" and then add the tags (in quotation marks and separated by a comma e.g. "tag1","tag2","tag3"). That way, you can add whichever tags are relevant.

Thank you! I went directly to tags and found an option that says Bulk Tag Contacts and then upload the CSV file. It isok like this as well?
