    Lumenさん, thank you for your question. There are a few verbs that end in -eる/-iる that do not belong to group 2. 入る is one of them. I explain this in my video Learn Japanese Verb Groups, and you can also find a more complete list of “group 1 verbs that look like group 2 verbs” on my website. Hope this helps! ^^

    Oh my god I finally fking understood this whole Te business. I was struggling with the sub groups and the _ACTUAL_ functionality of the TE form since NO ONE wants to tell you in simple words what the TE is and is not! Super helpful! Keep it simple, keep it chill! Also love the way you speak Japanese. It sounds lovely :)

    Or another way to look at it: Conjugate the verb to past tense, then take the okurigana out and replace with "te" or "de"(if ten-ten was present). Ex: ru-verb 食べる=食べたー>食べて u-verb 遊ぶ=遊んだー>遊んで

    KanzaiGaijin-san, if you leave it like that, TE form is used to make an informal request, for example to ask a friend to do something. So 遠ざかって would mean "(please) move away!"

    'conjugation' 'tense' and all these other words... Aa I don't even know English. I guess I'm just desperate to learn Japanese.

      Exactly my thoughts whenever deepening into its grammar! Advancing English while learning Japanese.)

    • @sebastianmalvaroza7535
      @sebastianmalvaroza7535 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Conjugations are how we 'morph' words to make sense and to identify the person speaking, mood, etc. , like 'to talk, talking(I, you, he, etc.)'.
      Tenses are basically WHEN something was done. A past tense of 'to talk' would be, 'talked', present tense would be, 'talking' and future tense would be, 'will talk'.
      It's a simple concept once you get the hang of it. I hope you understood what I meant by these explanations. Best of luck!

  • @iDanLP
    @iDanLP 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you are already more advanced and know how to make the past tense of verbs in informal then just replace it with te, easy as that, that's why it is very important to remember this pattern because you will not only use it to make the te form! An also the iru/eru verbs are easy because you probably already learned it when making the masu form just drop the ru. I hope this helped a bit for people having trouble with the te form. Like I said it's the SAME exact pattern as the informal past conjugation of verbs. :)

  • @emelitovino4361
    @emelitovino4361 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    You explained very well. but when you intend to study japanese you must to begin at masu form, i suggest much better if you discuss the verb conjugation of te form : from masu form to te form than to dictionary form to te form.
