Owen your message has always been very consistent over the years, and your videos are the proof for it. Your book is fabulous, and I think everyone should read it. They should make that a mandatory book to read in the school system!

Thank you Reza. I know my book is in several high school libraries in the Lower mainland as well as the downtown Vancouver Library. I agree.. i think basic financial literacy should be taught starting in grade 6 thru to 12

You should be called the Candy Man, because you're teaching everyone how life can be SWEET!

I like that. Trust me life get's pretty sweet when you start earning income while your sleeping, or on vacation or in the gym. In The words of Warren Buffett. "If you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die."

Sugarcoating? Oh, please. Back in 2007 (note the timing) my wife and I walked into an open house and a very nice Realtor confidently informed me that Victoria prices double every ten years. Really? Go ahead and do the math on that. Back here in reality land, we look to Owen to tell us what's really going on.

I might be hitting the trigger rate on my rental property mortgage soon. The bank says I can either increase the amount on monthly payments, pay the yearly allowable lump sum, or lock the rate. What makes sense for a rental property? Thanks for the great content, Owen!

Couldn't agree more Owen, the PRE is the biggest tax break we will ever see.

Successful people don't need to sugarcoat on youtube. Owen just wants to give back to the next generation

I have done several video on getting to that first $1mil and i map the whole plan out in my book. It was nothing complicated.
1 Payed myself first 15-20% sometimes more
      2. Invested the money.. not saved! via Vancouver RE and high quality dividend paying equities and low cost ETF's Bought my first investment unit just before my 19th birthday.. still own it today .. clear title
3 I got better and better at my career.. concentrated on growing my income as opposed to increasing my investment savings rate ( This is a major flaw in the FIRE movement in my opinion)
4 Tuned out all the noise and instead continued to focus only on the things i had controll over. Those things are paying myself first, getting better and earning more every year, staying in shape getting enough sleep and nutrition, learning, reading books and having some fun!
All of this is in my book.. still a best seller on Amazon.. will be the best $9 you can spend.
Stay tuned for more videos on this soon
