dude all these game follow the same pattern. Ever heard of "Game of War"? people have spent personal BILLIONS just to play the game. The only difference between these two games is the theme and all the cosmetics and makeup.
I got to say, I haven't spent a cent on it, and I have advanced very far. Sure, if you go the pay-to-play route you have a good advantage, but that does not mean you can't make it without paying. (By the way, after spending thousands of hours making it, these guys still let us play it for free.) They are also very good when it comes to service. I had a 3 hour downtime during a competition. Just to say sorry, they gave me 50k Gold, 6m of each resource, 50k Hero points and 99 3-Hour boosts. If you want to make it big, just build up your soldiers and participate the hell out of the Resource hunt competitions. That will give you tons of free stuff that gives you an edge on the pay-to-play players.
I would like to add that I think hero's abode should be the first thing you upgrade after a palace upgrade. Actually, palace to farm to lumber mill to manor to hero's abode. This way you maximize the experience gained upgrading the other buildings.
There should be a warning also that they should know that they can be continuously attacked by guys 20 levels higher than them all day everyday with no option of ever winning against them and the only option they have is to buy a shield in order to build some resources before theyre attacked again. if you dont have a lot of money to blow make sure youre only playing for fun occasionally in your spare time. and if youre arent high or progressing enough the top guilds wont accept you and will kick you in no time. especially if there is an event going on and they think you will hurt their ranking.

Nice game, no doubt about it. But the problem is support massively sucks. It takes an entire week to even respond, and much more even to do something about their own blunders. So think twice before you even decide to play, let alone cash.

nonsense it is definitely a big pay to win game. you can never make more gold through game mechanics than someone who can drop 90$ for a million gold instantly. it's impossible for you to keep up. just logged on and looked, xmas sale. 50% off 10$ for 600k gold and thousands of instant silver gains and boosts. 10 for 1 mill gold. time is money and your time raiding gold mines will take you away from mining other resources when they just literally paying to complete everything while attacking you and everyone else and dominating everything.
so done with this game...everyone thinks they can afford it at first and then they start manipulation of the offers...3 yrs in its embarrassing how much my gaming group has spent. Everytime we catch up...boom more stuff for pay to win ego maniacs to buy. I started playing this game 3 days ago. Haven't done much else. A total of 32 man hours into it. My castle is at level 8. I have tried to figure it out as I go. The Instruction Manual is worthless! You don't tell beginners jack squat about anything. You don't explain the army and if and when you will get attacked and what to do about it. So I come out here to see what others say. Watching this video, I saw that one of his upgrades is taking at least 26 weeks! What!!!!!!!!!! I hate that it is taking up to 8 hours to get some minor upgrades and the makers of this game want me to spend half a year just to get one upgrade later on down the road? Screw that! I just wanted to play a fun game, not spend my entire life on this. It is with great joy that I tell the owners of this game to screw themselves. I have spent no money and will spend no money. I will not spend another minute on this game. When the piece treaty expires, I could care less who comes and takes what they want. It is all yours. What a freaking joke! Screw you people.

To upgrade 2 at once you need to buy a pack that has either a prophet or a builder in it this will alow you to build 2 at the same time for 1 week
