Wow a real blast from the past. I remember being picked up from nursery and being put down to watch this tv programme whilst I was fed my lunch. Not the usual tv programme for a 3 year old, I will always remember that strange shark animation!!
Every single time, it would trick my young mind into thinking something fun was coming on- then it would be some really boring political show. I miss taking the day off school ill.
Best comment ive ever seen on the internet is from a similar clup of working lunch ( and its so true) : 'working lunch - a programme for people who are so good at business that theyre at home at lunchtime watching telly' 😂😂
@@patdbean Bloomberg and CNBC are often shown in offices. In fact if you're in the stock exchange on a trading floor or the offices of a large bank or financial firm then it's guaranteed at least one of those channels will be playing
Never occurred to me watching this as a kid, but is the goldfish meant to represent the small business owner and the shark meant to represent the uncertain economy??
People in the comments: 98%: Kids born between 1991 - 1996 who only watched the intro and then switched off, since the programme followed their kids shows. 2%: The occasional business or finance enthusiast who remembers the show.
I remember seeing this playing on the tv in the waiting room of my speech therapist, who I saw every week. Took me another 20 years to remember what it was called so I could find it again.
There are two version of the 2000 Working Lunch intro. This is the V1 from 2nd October 2000. A second version was produced, and the only change it had was after the fish exited the toilet, when the shark blasts through the toilet, he freezes whilst the camera turns clockwise. Any idea when the first version was stopped using, and when the second version was used from? V2 right here: th-cam.com/video/lj9N-lI2sXg/w-d-xo.html
I always like when a tv show has a better intro than the tv show itself

***** It was financial more than political, but I get what you mean.
You spoke my mind haha
Omg that is my exact thoughts when i remember this😂
This and I’d always freak out as if the fish wouldn’t make it whenever I saw it too

Or they are watching in the office while having lunch? Or ARE so good at business they no longer NEED to work?

I was born in 1999, but the first point is true.
I was born in 88 and this was definitely a part of my childhood
I was born 1997
And you were watching Teletubbies at 12?@@michaelreddington1234
I bet you switched off after the intro @@Remake5182
My childhood :,)
I was looking at a picture of a goldfish in a bowl, and this intro randomly popped into my head all these years later. So I came back to watch it.

Happy memories
As a kid I loved the intro
Didn’t we all? Even Stevens was similar in that the animated intro appealed to me a lot more than the actual programme.
'good afffternoon, im adrian childs wel-coom ta wor-king loonch....today adam is at a factory in nuneaton......
And That's Just About It... I'm Off To Do The Football Job Now
Used to see this show when I was little with my grandad. Loved the starting but then it was the most boring thing ever
Always fun.
Have you got the one with the Westminster Tower becoming a crocodile...?
