Awesome story. I’m from Connecticut and we always went to lake George for a few weeks every summer in the 80’s. We always stopped at the dealership when it was on rt.9. They always had a line of atcs outside!
Hey, Hate to ask an off topic questions, but I thought of you first. I found, and bought an ATC I have NEVER seen before. I don't think it is a Tiger, probably not a Nicholson, but definitely vintage custome Race ATC. It has an 81 250r front end, and an 81 ATC250r rear axle with brakes bolted to what looks like a nice 81 extended 250r swingarm. The engine though.....looks to be an 82-83 480cc and it is bolted in like it has always been there. It also has an 81-81 atc250r plastic baja tank, which I haven't seen since the 80s! Seat and rear fender are missing, but front fender looks to be a fiberglass 81 atc 250r front fender with rear vents........Any idea what this is? I got it for a song, and regret nothing, regardless. Can I send you pics some how?
that's awesome I'm glad you got it . He messaged me asking if i knew anybody who might be interested . He bought a ton of NOS parts from me for that bike , the engine is NOS, rear fender is NOS, seat is NOS, exhaust might be NOS, and there was a bunch more little parts I sold him as well. I think I did the carb as well
Thank you Mike! Yeah, he sent me all the pictures he had and I could tell many of them were from you because I could tell it was your shop/garage. Lots of love in this machine, that's for sure!!
Man I had a friend that got a brand new 1983 Honda 185 S new back in the day when Honda first put front suspension on it, always one of my favorite ATC's!!!!!
Beautiful bike and beautiful story. The story is why ive dumped as much money into parts as i have into my 83 200e. Its got family history. Served my family faithfully for 30 years just needs help to serve another 30.
Christmas morning 1982 there was an 185S sitting in the garage. My brother and I rode the heck out of that thing. Wish we still had it. Dad turns 75 later this month, maybe I should start looking for one🤔
@ThisOldTrike 82 and it was a huge part of our childhood. We were fortunate to track down our 84 250R several years ago and were able to purchase it. We grew up on Honda's, so many great memories!
That's a very cool story. Nice hat too 🙂 I have two boomerang bikes that I've never featured on my channel. Both of them go all the way back to my childhood. I guess it's about time to share them.
Rhonda! ❤ I had a girlfriend a long time ago named Rhonda. She was a PA farm girl that rode three wheelers with me. Miss that girl! Great video Preston!
I know that guy! A total legend and all around nice guy. He's supported Peanuts racing and sent him all kinds of memorabilia. Absolutely love their family
Very nice… I know you own about every Honda trike there is… my question is do you own one of the 185 what I call a big frame… it was when the 185 was the biggest machine they produced I believe the year was 1979 or 1980 ? Love the channel… keep up the great work !!!
So thy made ATC 70's in 73 and 74, then took a break and started making the 2nd gens in 78 til 85. So I'm assuming you're talking about a 78. So it's as ugly as it gets... but that doesn't tell me enough about condition... I wish there were a way to send a picture through TH-cam so I could see what you're looking at. $900 seems high for ugly as it gets... but I did just recently pay $600 for pretty darn rough and non-running 81 ATC 70.
Beautiful machine and we're honored to be part of its story 😊
Great story. My mom recently found the invoice to our first 1980 110. I miss that trike. She's the one I lost my "3 Wheeled" virginity to.

The paperwork and stories are as good as the machines.. original handwritten invoices are cool

If you guys made a lot of memories on that machine, it might not be a bad idea! Was it an 82 model year, or an 83?

Awesome video, love the story preston. Behind every atc is a story! Childhood or adulthood. Still Awesome
Thanks brother!! Yes sir I was very happy to work out a deal on this machine. She'll be a keeper for a long time here.
Rhonda! ❤ I had a girlfriend a long time ago named Rhonda. She was a PA farm girl that rode three wheelers with me. Miss that girl! Great video Preston!
Love these stories and history!😊
Ivr had a boomerang experience. Sold it for 50 bought it back for 70 and glad I have it back for sure.
I know that guy! A total legend and all around nice guy. He's supported Peanuts racing and sent him all kinds of memorabilia. Absolutely love their family
Pretty cool! Even cooler if it’s the one doing the wheelie in the picture!
What a beautiful machine!
I had one just like that when I was a kid. It had a Gunnar Gasser 1/4 turn throttle. That thing was a wheelie machine.
Crazy the amt of NOS stuff on that machine. If anyone had all that available it’d be Mike. Cool story bud!
Pretty clean!
Rhonda the Honda!

I currently own a 700xx that I bought new..
It is a long story, but this is the third time I have owned it. What can we call that Preston?
👍👍👍
Yes sir brand new 83 big red and my 350x are from there
Wasn’t quite done with the first one. Many good memories of that Honda shop. Very cool story. Thank you
Here
12:26 did I hear bonage footage? 🤔
Lol, I think you're right! Dang... Bone-age footage does NOT sound good... But did you stay tuned to watch??
✌️🇨🇦
If you were me would you buy a 76 or 78 atc 70 that runs but it's ugly as it gets. 900 is what the guy wants.
